    Supervisor - Technical Maintenance

    Job Function

    • This position requires maintaining a high standard of diagnostic proficiency, overseeing timely repairs, and documenting spare parts usage meticulously.
    • The role also involves inspecting technicians' work to ensure compliance with customer and vehicle manufacturer specifications.
    • Additionally, it entails converting notifications into work orders on ERP systems and requisitioning necessary parts from the store for truck and trailer repairs in the workshop.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Supervise, plan and coordinate fleet servicing and maintenance activities, including managing and allocating project resources to ensure agreed time, cost, quality, safety, and environmental targets are met.
    • Control the Workshop Management System by scheduling and recording the allocation of jobs, monitoring timely, cost-effective repairs and workshop income and expenditure to facilitate accurate Fleet maintenance records.
    • Provide advice, direction, and regular feedback on workshop performance to motivate a team of mechanical tradespersons and apprentices in the delivery of mechanical services.
    • Conduct on-the-job tutorials and assist with solving complex mechanical and hydraulic problems to provide mechanical training and instruction to workshop personnel, including apprentices.
    • Facilitate the efficient delivery of mechanical services through communication, liaison, negotiation, and coordination with internal and external clients to manage client relations.
    • Provide recommendations on resources, productivity, work methods and associated costs in conjunction with the workshop staff to ensure the preparation of competitive estimates for major mechanical repairs/projects.
    • Conduct the continual monitoring and controlling of workshop expenses and monthly income and expenditure statements, and provide the Workshop Area Manager with feedback to ensure workshop budget projections are achieved
    • Adhere to current policies and procedures and authorise purchase cards to ensure the procurement of spare parts and other services is carried out.

    Requirements
    Qualifications Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or any other related field.
    • Mechanical Engineering Certification, PMP, or any other.

    Experience and Skills Required:

    • 1-3 years’ relevant experience.
    • Experienced working in a Transport Environment
    • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment
    • Understanding of customer and vehicle manufacturer specifications.

    Controller, Inventory (Spares)

    Job Function

    • Responsible for management of spare parts inventory for Enugu NB operations and this include analysis, forecasting, monitoring of reorder levels, disposal of scraps and cash disbursement management.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Coordination of day-to-day running of spare parts store.
    • Supervises the activities of the Inventory personnel in maintaining good warehousing best practice.
    • Ensure timely branding of new stock of tyres before issuance for usage and taking to the system with serial and branded numbers.
    • Monitoring re-order levels for stock items and making requests for purchase when such are reached, manually and on the system.
    • Ensure there is Purchase Order for all material items supplied into the store.
    • Ensure that all Store Issue Vouchers and work order print out are duly authorized before approving and closing.
    • Ensure regular and periodic stock-count of Spare parts stocks, Lubricants and Tyre stock (to maintain integrity of stock position).
    • Implementation of the company’s financial and commercial policies in the NB Brewery operations and advice on development of appropriate financial policies for the operation as it relates to inventory management.
    • Ensure proper records (both system and manual) are kept for all stock items.
    • Approve GRN for all customers’ invoices.
    • Ensure of all Job orders and vehicle maintenance / repairs work orders into Instanta.
    • Ensure proper branding of new stock of Tyres for ease of identification, reconciliation & accountability.
    • Ensure proper documentation of all inventory items received and issued and carry out monthly reconciliation of the Stocks (Tyres, Spare Parts, and Lubricants) accounts.
    • Maintain and manage tyre inventory for first expire first out.
    • Ensure old parts are returned before collecting new parts.
    • Ensure correct booking of all accounting entries relating to inventories in transport operations.
    • Provision of accurate, reliable, and timely financial reports that will assist management in effective planning and decision making.
    • Ensure used part are return to the scrap bin and recorded on the system.
    • Making advertisement of all scrap items after selling committee decision
    • Taking prospective bidders to see the scrap items.
    • Analysing the submitted bids.
    • Ensure sale advise letters are shared with the winning bidder.
    • Ensure payment and removal of scraps by bidder.
    • Ensure the scrap area is kept neat always.

    Qualifications Required

    • BSc/HND in Accounting, Business Administration, or any other related discipline.

    Experience and Skills Required:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
    • Complete inventory management experience.
    • Inventory planning and forecasting for spares.
    • Experience in the use of software like SAP and Instanta.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting systems.
    • In-depth knowledge of asset tracking systems, inventory management software, and accounting principles.
    • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
