As a Radiographer, you will operate imaging equipment, position patients, and capture high-quality images of the internal structures of the body for diagnostic purposes.
Your role involves ensuring patient safety, following protocols and procedures, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely imaging services in order to prevent ill-exposure to ionizing radiation.
Job Description
Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, explaining the procedure, providing instructions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Operate radiographic equipment, such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI scanners, and ultrasound machines, to capture images of the body's internal structures.
Select appropriate imaging techniques, settings, and parameters based on the specific diagnostic requirements, patient characteristics, and physician instructions.
Position and immobilize patients using appropriate devices, such as immobilization devices, sandbags, or protective shields, to ensure optimal image quality and minimize motion artifacts.
Align imaging equipment and adjust settings to focus on the area of interest and capture clear and accurate images while minimizing radiation exposure to patients and personnel.
Monitor patients during imaging procedures, observing for signs of discomfort, distress, or adverse reactions, and responding promptly to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Review captured images to ensure quality, clarity, and diagnostic value, retaking images if necessary to achieve optimal results.
Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and imaging files, entering relevant information into electronic medical records (EMRs) or picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
Manage and maintain unit pre-set inventory standards for medicines, consumables, solutions, equipment and supplies
Manage patients and attendants constructively and honestly and manage their grievances
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results, discuss findings, and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients.
Adhere strictly to CAREONE's ethical standards, medical protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements for radiation protection, infection control, and patient confidentiality in accordance with healthcare standards and guidelines
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and reporting issues to appropriate personnel for repair or service.
Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay informed about advances in radiologyWrite up imaging reports and report on cases to multidisciplinary team meetings
Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, such as image quality assessment, peer review, and performance evaluation, to ensure compliance with standards and optimize imaging services.

Requirements
HND degree in Medical Imaging Technology, Medical Radiography, Radiologic Technology
0-2 years of industry/clinical experience
Full registration with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria with valid practice license.
Proficient in general radiography techniques including X-ray, MRI, and ultrasound.
Patient positioning skills
Strong written and oral skills including computer literacy in the main processing, spreadsheet and presentation graphics programs.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging procedures and interpretation
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment, managing multiple priorities and tasks effectively while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Job Description
Perform a variety of laboratory tests and analyses on patient specimens, including blood, urine, tissue, and other bodily fluids, using manual and automated techniques and equipment.
Prepare and handle patient samples, following established procedures for sample collection, processing, labeling, and storage to ensure accuracy, integrity, and traceability of specimens.
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, such as microscopes, centrifuges, analyzers, and other specialized equipment, performing routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting as needed Conduct quality control and quality assurance procedures to verify the accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results, documenting and addressing any deviations or discrepancies according to laboratory protocols.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
0 - 2 years of industry/clinical experience
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT)
Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and instrumentation used in clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and other laboratory disciplines.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and other healthcare software applications
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
