Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all clinic areas, including waiting rooms, treatment rooms, and restrooms
• Ensure proper disposal of clinical and general waste in line with health and safety standards
• Restock cleaning and sanitation supplies as needed
• Carry out routine maintenance checks and report any repair needs promptly
• Support infection control protocols by keeping surfaces and equipment areas sanitized
• Assist with general upkeep of the clinic premises, including floors, windows, and common areas

Requirements:

• Prior experience in cleaning/maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting
• Strong attention to detail and personal hygiene standards
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Good understanding of basic health and safety/sanitation practices
• Physically fit and able to handle cleaning equipment
• Lives within or close to Ikeja/GRA axis preferred

Role Description

• The Dental Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based at CANAN DENTAL CLINIC in Lagos State, Nigeria. The role involves assisting dentists during clinical procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and managing dental instruments and materials.
• Daily responsibilities include supporting patient examinations and treatments, providing chairside assistance, recording clinical information, and helping patients feel comfortable before, during, and after procedures.
• The Dental Nurse will also handle sterilization and decontamination processes, maintain infection control standards, and ensure that equipment and work areas meet regulatory and clinic protocols.
• Additional tasks may include appointment coordination, patient education on oral hygiene, and collaboration with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Dentistry and Dental Care, including assisting with examinations, treatments, and patient education on oral health.
• Candidates should possess skills in Infection Control and Decontamination, ensuring strict adherence to sterilization procedures and clinical safety standards.
• Relevant qualification as a Dental Nurse or Dental Health professional, with registration/licensure as required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients of diverse backgrounds in a respectful and professional manner.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow clinical protocols and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Prior experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is highly beneficial.
