    Academy Manager

    The Academy Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of the Bridge Academy in all respects. The role holder is ultimately responsible for the smooth running of the Bridge school, the academic achievement of its pupils and the management of its staff. This job requires a strong presence around the academy and the local community. 

    What You Will Do

    • Academy management - ensure that the academy’s financial, operational, and instructional goals are met leveraging smartphone and computer tablet technologies to manage operations and track oversight; escalate any problems immediately.
    • Implement and enforce approved education and administrative policies as directed.
    • Community relations - develop and maintain strong relationships with local leaders and organisations to advocate for higher-quality education and promote Bridge.
    • Parent outreach - conduct various forms of customer outreach ranging from door-to-door canvassing to academy-hosted events in order to attract new pupils to Bridge.
    • Customer relations - maintain positive relationships with existing families to ensure their loyalty, timely fees payments, and word-of-mouth recommendations; be accountable and ensure all parent queries are responded to in a timely manner.
    • Academic oversight - Supervise and mentor teachers to ensure pupils are receiving a world class education; recruit new teachers as needed.
    • Supplies and facility maintenance - ensure the academy has all of the resources needed to teach pupils, and that its environment is clean, safe, and conducive for learning; manage non-academic staff.
    • Financial sustainability - ensure the academy is able to grow and pay all staff salaries and vendors on time by ensuring all pupils' fees are paid on time and academy spending is on budget.
    • Any other related duties that are in line with your training and competencies.

    What You Should Have

    • University Degree in Education or NCE or Post Graduate Diploma in Education. TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) Certificate is an added advantage.
    • A well liked teacher (or youth leader) with at least 2 years of teaching experience.
    • At least 2 years of experience in managing a team of 5 to 10 people is an added advantage.
    • Experience in fee management and enrolment and oversight of other teachers as an added advantage.
    • Motivated in doing something for the development of the community.
    • Ability to address the parents with utmost respect and solve the problems with right solutions.
    • Ability to handle a team and face challenges on day to day operations.
    • Ability to assess a team of teachers in respect to their deliverables.
    • Innovative with an appetite for trying out new things.
    • Should not be too comfortable in delegating and therefore comes with expectations of support staff.
    • Respected in the community with a strong connection with the community.
    • Should not have a criminal history.
    • Positive and never-say-die attitude, extroverted and sunny.

    Teacher

    The Teacher at Bridge is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of a class in all respects and delivering lessons.. The role holder is ultimately responsible for the smooth running of the assigned class and the academic achievement of its pupils. This job requires a strong presence around the academy and the local community. 

    What You Will Do

    • Instructional delivery – use our latest technology to deliver all Bridge content and lesson notes, which come fully prepared on a tablet.
    • Raise pupil achievement – be accountable for the learning needs of all pupils, and do what it takes to help them improve 
    • Parent relations – maintain positive relationships and close communication with parents on their child’s progression
    • Customer outreach – conduct various forms of customer outreach ranging from door-to-door canvassing to academy-hosted events in order to attract new pupils to Bridge
    • Grow professionally – attend periodic re-trainings for professional development
    • Academy collaboration – support other members of your team and Academy Manager, organize co-curricular activities to make Bridge a vibrant and healthy academy in your community.
    • And any other related duties that are in line with your training and competencies.

    What You Should Have

    • University Degree in Education or NCE or Post Graduate Diploma in Education. TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) Certificate is an added advantage.
    • Prior teaching or mentoring experience not necessary but encouraged (we will train you).
    • Ability to address the parents with utmost respect and solve the problems with right solutions.
    • Passion, love and patience for children – particularly those in the age group you want to teach.
    • Proven track record of professionalism, punctuality, discipline and compliance.
    • Strong English skills (speaking, reading, writing) and local language skills. 
    • Open attitude to try new things and stamina for teaching a full class day (7AM - 5PM Monday - Thursday and 7AM-3PM Friday), grit to persevere in challenging situations.
    • Engages effectively with parents, and is prepared to speak with parents and engage with the community outside of the teacher timetable.
    • Thrives within structure and is open to prepared teacher guides; is able to follow detailed and multi-step instructions.
    • Shows potential for strong classroom management and will have pride in teaching a large class.
    • A desire to grow personally and professionally including the ability to learn quickly and follow the policies of a multinational organisation; internal promotions are encouraged.
    • Hobbies to share as co-curricular activities with the larger academy.

    Manager, Administration

    The Administration Manager is responsible for overseeing all the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the Bridge Nigeria Offices in Lagos, the corporate apartment and can lead strategic projects and events to improve the well-being of Bridge Nigeria Education staff. This person is a highly energetic, superstar idea generator, organizer, project manager, and Microsoft Office that can manage several Administration assistants, and is willing to work whatever hours and times are needed to get things done. Last but not least, the Administration Manager is a friendly but firm presence in the office to ensure that all Company policies are being adhered to.

    What You Will Do

    • Supervises and manages all administrative services at Bridge Nigeria 
    • Managing the duties of office cleaners, building security, and maintaining a relationship with building management to ensure that Bridge Nigeria Education is receiving the correct level of service 
    • Lead the Administration Department in providing high-quality service to the entire Company and any visitors, including maintaining regular quality tea service, front desk support, onboarding employees, etc. 
    • Manage security for the building – reviewing CCTV footage, ensuring that only authorised personnel are in the office, etc.
    • Assist Bridge Nigeria support Staff with questions and concerns around the work environment. 
    • Manage and maintain inventory and stock controls over administration assets (office supplies, furniture, etc.), leverage technology and systems to ensure that tracking is repeatable, scalable, and fail-safe. 
    • Strategically manage the Company’s floor plan/layout and general office needs 
    • Ensure that the work environment is well-kept and motivating for employees 
    • Organize company events, both in and out of the office. 
    • Coordinate all logistics and arrangements for Teacher Training. 
    • Execute a data-driven approach across all Administrative services activities. It is your responsibility to ensure you and your team are leveraging all available data to drive decision-making. 
    • You will collaborate with other Groups and Departments on programming, including but not limited to Schools, Talent Acquisition, Technology, and Finance.  
    • Align company processes and policies with best practices of operation.

    What You Should Have

    • Bachelor’s degree from a top academic institution with top marks 
    • Superb Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
    • Very competent with technology platforms and quick to pick up new systems 
    • At least four (4) years experience working in project management/fast-paced environments, ideally with an administrative bent. 
    • Prior experience as an Administration Manager preferred; experience working in Administration.
    • Prior management and project management experience 
    • High energy, highly motivated personality but a stickler for rules 
    • Good communicator – verbal and written 
    • Available at all hours (when necessary) to attend the office in person.

    Manager, Policy & Partnership

    You are on top of research on government policies and laws, manage internal and external communication and have a large resource base of personnel in the public sector.

    What You Will Do

    • Fostering the NewGlobe brand amongst government circles through advocacy and public relations.
    • Conduct research and monitor legislation. You are also responsible for tracking happenings within the government that could affect NewGlobe. Proactively researching policies to see what changes could be advantageous and which trends might negatively impact us in the future.
    • Conducting both internal and external communications to ensure message continuity. Prepare reports and presentations to deliver within  NewGlobe organization and externally.
    • You will also represent the organization at industry forums and events.
    • Recruiting champions for NewGlobe at Federal, State and Local Government levels.
    • Managing relationship with key stakeholders and Ministry parastatals at the Federal, State and Local Government level
    • Documenting and managing all government regulations around education to ensure compliance.
    • Oversee the registration and approval process of NewGlobe owned schools in various states
    • Identifying partnership opportunities for NewGlobe to work with Local, State and Federal Government,

    What You Should Have

    • 8+ years’ experience working in a similar role the bulk of which should have been with the private sector but closely liaising with the government on development projects.
    • A deep understanding of how the different levels of the government work and how policies are advocated and formulated
    • Bachelor Degree with superior academic performance
    • Master’s Degree is an added advantage
    • Roll call of contacts within all levels of government in Nigeria
    • Prior experience within a fast-paced, metric driven consulting or educational organization
    • Excellent writing and oral communication skills are required
    • Ability to multitask and execute on various projects
