    Business Development Manager

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage the development and prospecting plans of the company’s gas and power infrastructure business
    • Lead the execution of approved business development work programs
    • Generate and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure Axxela continues to secure business mandates
    • Drive Axxela’s project/business development and establish and expand the presence in the growing international markets
    • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of gas, power and energy opportunities
    • Present assessment of industry landscape, key stakeholders and competitor activities within the gas and power space
    • Prospect for and screen potential opportunities and turn them into increased business value for Axxela
    • Develop business case (market entry strategies, business requirements, financials, etc) to underpin potential opportunities to facilitate decision making
    • Create and deliver well–articulated proposals or presentations to target clients and other stakeholders including at industry events
    • Negotiate and close business deals that are aligned to Axxela’s Medium-term plans and client needs
    • Provide market penetration forecast and follow up to ensure opportunity conversion
    • Manage opportunity maturation and project execution to ensure that project delivery is to the appropriate levels of quality and in line with target budget and schedule, while ensuring the overall integrity of the work programs
    • Develop processes, procedures, and systems necessary to properly capture and report the entire business development effort along with any risks and mitigation associated with the undertaking
    • Performs other assigned duties or roles as directed by Heads of Department, the Director of Business Development or Axxela Executives from time to time.

    Essential Requirements:

    • 1st degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or other related fields. Masters Degree in a related field or MBA will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum 10 years of cognate work experience within a reputable and structured oil, gas, and power business environment
    • Experience in gas production, processing, transportation, and marketing areas as well as Power generation and distribution. Experience must include the technical, operational, and commercial aspects of natural gas and power assets including the economic evaluation of such assets plus the related energy transactions. Hands-on exposure to ideation, maturation, and origination of energy deals is a core requirement.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations governing local and international oil, gas, and power markets and dynamics, including a strong understanding of national/regional cultures, governance, and economies.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and critique financial/economic models and other complex analyses for strategic and investment decision-making.
    • Proven business development experience – nurturing concepts to reality, including a thorough understanding of project and corporate finance, project management, customer/stakeholder engagement, deal structuring, and team management in a fast-paced environment.
    • For Personal specification, we are looking for a strong candidate with strong commercial knowledge, who is creative/innovative, can deal with ambiguity, challenge status quo, defaults to solution mindset, is upbeat and able to sell his/her new business ideas, projects and initiatives plus confidently engage internal and external c-suite executives.

    Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) Analyst

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Coordinates collation of field inspection and test reports on all live construction projects in Axxela.
    • Monitors Welder performance and conducts visual inspections of welds and repairs of welds in accordance with Company procedures and international codes of practice.
    • Checks, inspects and tests project welding and construction materials to ensure they meet project specification requirements.
    • Monitors the construction process from all aspects to ensure performance meets job quality and design requirements in accordance with Company procedures and international standards.
    • Coordinates with vendors to undertake Welding Qualification Tests (WQT) and inspections of prepared test specimens and witnesses destructive tests.
    • Ensures that only Welders who have met the minimum requirements of implementing qualified Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), makes it to the production welding stage.
    • Ensures diligent implementation of Axxela Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) across all projects.
    • Undertakes Pre-mobilization Inspection of vendors’ Equipment prior to deployment for construction activities.
    • Conducts fit-up and dimension inspections as per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and provides technical guidance for welding sequence and distortion control.

    Essential Requirements:

    • Minimum second class upper degree in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Metallurgical & Material, Electrical & Electronic)
    • 3-5 years relevant work experience in Construction, Welding Practices or Non-destructive testing.
    • Understanding of API 1104, ASME BPV IX, API 5L, ANSI/ASME B31.8, BS, AWS and other Welding and Construction codes and Standards
    • Knowledgeable in Inspection, NDT, and other test activities related to gas piping construction and operation.
    • Knowledge of ISO Standards – 9001, 14001, and 45001.

    Business Development Supervisor

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Creates techno-commercially viable Gas & Power solutions and matures into profitable businesses.
    • Facilitates Gas & Power-related ideation and undertakes business development/maturation efforts to convert to a profitable business.
    • Identifies changes in the regulatory, economic, and business environment that may potentially present opportunities for Axxela to exploit or threats to mitigate in the energy sector
    • Actively develops networks with OEMs, service providers, regulators, and other stakeholders and deploys same to gain insights, competitive advantage, and win profitable deals for Axxela
    • Undertakes and manages the development of financial models and analytical frameworks to facilitate opportunity development, strategic planning, and support management decisions
    • Performs other assigned duties as delegated from time to time to assure the achievement of corporate objectives and business plans.

    Essential Requirements:

    • Minimum of 8 years work experience, at least 4 of which must have been in a similar role or Engineering Consulting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Management Consulting, or Corporate Finance within a reputable and structured business environment, preferably in the Power, Oil & Gas or general Energy industry.
    • Cognate experience in gas production, processing, transportation, and marketing areas as well as Power generation and distribution. Experience must include the technical, operational, and commercial aspects of natural gas and power assets including the economic evaluation of such assets plus the related energy transactions. Hands-on exposure to ideation, maturation, and origination of energy deals is a core requirement.
    • Minimum second-class lower degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or other relevant disciplines
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage economic/financial models and other complex analyses in Excel and present results to management for decision-making.
    • Additional relevant qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, and Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
