    Director of Sales, International Student Recruitment - Africa/MENA Regions

    The Opportunity:

    • ApplyBoard is looking for a seasoned Director of Sales - Africa/MENA region who will be responsible for helping lead the Sales Managers/Sales Team, help further grow existing markets and help expand into new markets through strategy and collaboration. You will be working closely with all aspects of sales, sales operations and marketing to ensure strategic alignment across all three functions. The successful candidate will be a highly organized sales professional who has experience defining and running similar initiatives.
    • Our Director of Sales will report directly to the Sr. Director, and indirectly to the CRO. You will be responsible for leading the sales and partnering closely throughout the organization with sales, sales operations, marketing and global leadership, learning & talent development functions. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience building, leading, managing & developing a high-impact and high-output team and solutions in a dynamic working environment. Our ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader and team player, with hands-on experience supporting sales methodology, the sales life cycle, technical selling tools, processes and salesperson effectiveness. While industry experience may not be required, you will bring with you a lot of experience in the areas listed above. You will also need to demonstrate/highlight you have the ability to learn the In’s and Out’s of the industry quickly and effectively.

    What you'll be doing every day:

    • Leads the creation and deployment of appropriate training, learning content/sales messaging, processes, and practices to support the sales and partnership teams.
    • Develop Sales LE's vision, operating principles, strategy, approach and performance goals, in alignment with ApplyBoard's goal alignment methodology, delivering against unified Sales & Marketing vision, strategy and plan.
    • Supports product launches by preparing and enabling the sales and partnership team to understand and sell ApplyBoard’s solutions.
    • Attract, develop, engage, coach and retain a world-class Sales Team to deliver effective and innovative learning experiences, processes and tools to enhance and sustain substantial growth in line with our business objectives.
    • Responsible for aspects of foundational and continuous learning programs for sales, including but not limited to training content creation, scheduling and coordination, creation and deployment or delivery of sales training
    • Supports the sales and partnership processes at all stages
    • Supports frontline sales managers and sales leadership team in executing effective management disciplines and establishing a sales coaching program.
    • Partners with global leadership, learning & talent development functions to co-develop and execute effective leadership and management practices and establish a sales coaching culture and program.
    • Manages various sales projects and coordinates sales activities.
    • Enable sales team to train external end-users through content creation, training, messaging, and best practices.
    • Responsible for tracking and analysis of internal and external sales training and content usage.

    What you bring to the table:

    • Previous work experience as a Senior Leader/Director of Sales in a high-growth company, preferably within the technology and/or education sector
    • 7+ years experience in sales learning leadership with increasing responsibility including leading a sales and client-facing team in a hyper-growth environment
    • Experience designing, developing, implementing and evaluating the performance and learning effectiveness metrics; reporting on the impact of sales enablement resources, learning solutions and tools
    • Knowledge of selling tools, instructional design tools and learning management systems (eg. Salesforce, Workday Learning, Zunos, Articulate etc)
    • Effective relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to influence and positively partner with others

    Associate Director, International Student Recruitment - Africa/MENA Regions

    The Opportunity:

    • ApplyBoard is looking to hire an Associate Director, International Student Recruitment (Remote) to help drive our ongoing expansion efforts in Africa and parts of the MENA region. We are looking for a strong leader who understands the diversity of these Markets and can further our mission of educating the world. The person best suited for this role will bring proven experience, strategic thinking and strong leadership experience to help the team further expand existing business and also grow new business, ensuring market share and profitability. This role will be responsible for managing overall operations, recruiting staff and creating marketing and sales plans while staying within budget. They will also develop and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and progress reports to ensure the team's targets are being met or exceeded.

    What you'll be doing every day:

    • Lead a team of sales professionals
    • Set targets, performance plans, and rigorous objective standards for sales representatives
    • Meet with reps one-on-one weekly to review performance, progress, and targets. Mentor, guide and help them continuously improve / think strategically
    • Deliver deep performance reviews for each individual rep per quarter, per year
    • Coach individual sales representatives one-on-one using value added sales methods, strong account support and prospecting within the accounts
    • Work closely with reps to help them improve sales performance
    • Develop a scalable sales process and ensure representatives adhere to it correctly
    • Ensure that reps use sales technologies, such as a CRM (HubSpot), correctly.
    • Ensure that reps follow their daily tasks, such as follows up with the customer and doing the assigned task by another team correctly
    • Plan and implement training programs
    • Hold regular skills training sessions with internal or external sales trainers.
    • Recruit, select, onboard, and train new sales reps
    • Unite the team: Ensure reps work as a positive unit and share their best practices
    • Set a good example for the team by leading by example
    • Work according to company culture and values, prioritize ruthlessly, use good communication, and deliver results effectively
    • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and monitor their preferences
    • Resolve escalated customer issues and customer complaints regarding sales and service
    • Report any conflict of interest for sales representatives that occur
    • Determine and assign sales quotas, targets, and/or goals
    • Project and forecast annual and quarterly revenue and for multiple sales territories
    • Develop sales strategies to help drive continuous growth with customers and in some cases, acquire new customers
    • Track sales team metrics and share them with company leadership
    • Analyze sales data on sales results and develop plans to address performance gaps
    • Collaborate with marketing executives to develop lead generation plants
    • Monitor competition, economic indicators, and industry trends
    • Plan, strategize, hire and grow underdeveloped or new regions

    What you bring to the table:

    7-10 years or more of experience in sales roles - Account Management and Business Development with companies of various size

    • Strong knowledge of the Africa / MENA Regions - education industry experience is preferred 3-5 years of experience managing a sales team with a track record of quota achievement and growth
    • Experience with building and implementing a Go-to-Market strategy
    • Having a successful track record of B2B sales
    • Experience in creating and implementing administrative process documentation, designs, and other related technical materials that have made a sales team more efficient
    • Experience creating and rolling out training manuals for sales and recruitment agents
    • Experience in managing client escalations/Client Objection Handling
    • Be hands-on with creating marketing collateral
    • Experience managing a multi-million dollar budget

    International Recruitment Officer

    The Opportunity:

    What you’ll bring to the table: 

    • Fluent in English and local languages
    • Minimum 2 years of international student recruitment experience for secondary and/or post-secondary institutions
    • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
    • Exceptional communication verbal and written skills

    International Recruitment Specialist- Ireland

    The Role

    • We are looking for an experienced, well connected, organized and International Recruitment Specialist in Lagos, Nigeria to build a second source market in Ireland and take our company and platform to the next level!

    Responsibilities

    • On a daily basis, represent the ApplyBoard brand to promote our platform and services to agents. This a high performance, individual contributor role with the primary task of increasing agency sign ups to our platform. The role will require extensive local, and at times out of city/state travel, wherever there is a substantial presence of agents.
    • Promote Ireland schools across designated regions. 
    • Conduct training sessions (ApplyBoard spread) for International Recruitment Managers.
    • Conduct Ireland School knowledge sessions for Recruitment Partners. 
    • Drive destination enrollments be enabling the sales team and recruitment partners on the process 
    • Manage assigned set of recruitment partners in the region and drive various stages of the application funnel ie Application to submission improvisation,  Min 4 recruitment partners visit daily and train them and their counselors on the process, top schools, and programs, and requirements 
    • Conduct regional webinars and seminars on a regular basis

    What you bring to the table:

    • Possess a postgraduate degree in any field (preferably an MBA) with a proven track record of min 5 years in International Student Recruitment for that destination(preferably in a B2B setting). 
    • Be a destination subject matter expert
    • Attendance at Recruitment Partner Exhibitions and industry conferences to promote the destination. 
    • Assist regional sales team regional leadership and its team members with the coordination and execution of approved destination GTM strategy. 
    • Implement and track monthly promotional strategies to achieve destination-specific sales targets. 
    • Enable the team to address recruitment partner inquiries and concerns in a timely manner. 
    • Provide timely market feedback so that the destination head can timely coordinate with partner relations managers and partner client managers to ensure smooth flow through the entire application funnel. 
    • Stay up to date with region-specific industry trends and align ApplyBoard with competitor information.
