MAIN FUNCTIONS

The Wells Advisor job role is meant to convey the generic kinds of experiences and skill proficiencies of a late-career/expert-competency-level individual in this role. In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Resources should be well versed in drilling, well, or construction operations. Wells Advisors typically have expertise in one or more job family skills and serve as resources to mentor and develop the broader organization. Wells Advisors are essential in order to mentor and advise drilling and completion engineers on well planning, well design, and operational surveillance for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks, a Level 3 must

• Mentor and interface with less-experienced drilling and completion engineers.
• Provide oversight of drilling programs and ensure continuity and consistency in practices across multiple rig lines.
• Interface with Affiliate / Business Unit on Logistics, Environmental, Regulatory, Procurement, and Cost Stewardship activities.
• Develop and lead longer-term team performance improvement initiatives and engineering studies.
• Make continuous effort to improve efficiencies in drilling and completion operations.
• Participate in vendor clarifications, FATs, and package acceptance
• Review and respond to spec deviation requests
• Review drawings and specifications
• Address human factors engineering as well as safety of personnel and equipment (in conjunction with Topsides and/or O&M contractor)
• Assist in development and review of commissioning and System Integration Test procedures
• Support construction and commissioning efforts as required

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Civil preferably)
• Advanced analytical and computing skills
• Experience is required in construction site management, preferably familiar with Drilling well site design
• Adaptability to changing priorities
• Extensive experience in drilling rig development, including FEED, Detail Design, construction, and Commissioning
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to organize and progress own work schedule
• Experience working within multi-disciplined team environment involving multiple stakeholders
• Familiar with applicable industry-related codes (API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV, SOLAS, IMO)
• Knowledge of Offshore Oil and Gas regulations

• This job is created to ensure a safe continuity in all completions and workover operations during night-time. Job holder shall assure personal & Service companies ‘commitment to COMPANY policies, standards codes of conduct and HSE requirements. Job holder is to ensure the program objectives are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensures all material required to perform the operation are mobilized on site as per plan.
• Records ALL events and relevant well parameters before, during and after operations. Generate and maintain accurate reports such as the daily Wellview activity report; contractor performance
  reports, IQ-All operations data inputs
• Provide technical reports on specific well problems, investigation and report job failures and advise for operations improvement.
• Proactive in the management and coordination of the operations and service providers at the wellsite; using pre-job meetings, active monitoring, Toolbox Talks & Time Out for Safety, as
  appropriate, to ensure that all personnel are aware of the operational objectives and key areas of
  concern or risk.
• Responsible for preparing Well Handover Documents.
• Reports immediately all anomalies to his direct Supervisor
• Writes detailed work instructions as per approved well program, ensures completion equipment is prepared, is fit for purpose and meets well timelines. Ensures risk assessments are carried out
  prior to the completion operations.
• Raises management of change request when deviation from program is required.
• Proposes new ideas and innovations to improve well performance, well operations performance,
  reduce risk and/or cost.

Job Requirement

• Minimum of HND or BSc in Engineering domain with >1-year site working experience
• Team spirit and good interpersonal skills. Good English oral, written presentation and communication skill.
• Basic experience in operations contracts management and well site drilling expenses basics.
• In-depth knowledge of well completion, surface well test equipment, well intervention, and general drilling and completion techniques.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills for process and technical issues.
• Sound knowledge of the local regulations (and best practices) governing well operations.
• Possess the following certifications:
  • BOSIET /THUET certificate and annual medical examination certificate.
  •  Category A, Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS).
  • Shall possess a valid OSP (Offshore Safety Permit)
  • IWCF Level 4 Supervisor. Well Intervention Pressure Control or has a high likelihood of passing
    IWCF Level-4 in less than 1-month after resumption
