    Food Technologist/State Coordinator

    Job Summary

    Our client is a management consulting and business advisory firm providing top-tier advisory and technical services to philanthropic foundations, international organizations, donors, governments, non-profits, and corporations on strategy, policy, and program implementation.

    Key Responsibilities

    •  Coordinate the implementation of the OPTINUP program and initiatives within the state.
    • Ensure alignment of program activities with state and national food processing objectives.
    • Monitor program progress and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Promote the adoption of advanced food processing technologies and operations excellence among the partner MSMEs.
    • Provide technical support and guidance on the implementation of technology solutions.
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in food processing technology and recommend appropriate solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards within the food processing sector.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including MSMEs, government agencies, industry partners, and other service providers.
    • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to local businesses to improve their operational efficiency and product quality
    • Collect and analyze data on program performance, market trends, and industry needs.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with food processing activities within the state.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field
    • Advanced degree (MSc Food Science, MSc. Food Technology, MBA, MSc. Project Management etc.) preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food processing, food technology, or a related field preferably within the agriculture or food nutrition sector in Nigeria.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing food systems and nutrition programs or projects.
    • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
    • Excellent project management, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
    • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

    Town Planning Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Preparation Of Clients Survey Upon Request   
    • Provide detailed layout; ensure usage of Autocad to test the feasibility of the drawings and efficiency of layout plans to maximize space.
    • Translation of the information retrieved from layout to support team members and other department colleagues for task execution.
    • Ensure designs always conform with all regulatory bodies and regulation.
    • Ensure exact boundaries of newly acquired site with GPS device taking accurate coordinates.
    • Ensure accurate topography surveys is taken and quantum map reading is done per time to ascertain the viability of land.
    • Periodic monitoring of setting out on site with In House design.
    • Ensure up to date record of all drafts and planning activities [site layouts, designs, coordinates, provisional surveys, ETC] are accurately maintained and documented in company approved standard [ISO]
    • Assess and approve customer’s building development plan.
    • Support with activities around in-house project approval process.

    Requirements

    • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Survey, Urban and Regional Planning or related field 
    • 2-4 years of working experience in town planning, urban development or related field
    • Knowledge of urban planning software
    • MBA or Certification in related field will be an additional advantage
    • Experience working with stakeholders, including community groups, local authorities and developers.
