Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Batching Plant Manager to oversee the operations of the concrete batching plant.
• The ideal candidate must have proven hands-on experience and will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, quality control, equipment maintenance, and overall plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the batching plant and ensure efficient production of concrete
• Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet project demands
• Ensure accurate batching and mixing of materials in line with specifications
• Supervise plant operators, technicians, and support staff
• Monitor quality control processes and ensure compliance with standards
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies
• Manage plant maintenance, repairs, and equipment performance
• Track production output, material usage, and operational costs
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams
• Prepare reports on plant performance and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc./HND) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5–8 years proven experience in batching plant operations, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of concrete production processes, materials, and quality control
• Experience managing plant operations, staff, and production schedules
• Good understanding of plant machinery, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Good communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in construction, engineering, or plant management
• Experience in large-scale construction or ready-mix concrete production
• Familiarity with automated batching systems and software
• Knowledge of cost control and operational efficiency strategies

• Adkan Services Nigeria Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Batching Plant Operator / Technician to manage and operate concrete batching plant equipment.
• The ideal candidate must have proven hands-on experience and will ensure accurate mixing, quality control, and efficient production of concrete in line with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control batching plant equipment for concrete production.
• Ensure accurate measurement and mixing of raw materials (cement, aggregates, water, additives).
• Monitor plant operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of plant machinery.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
• Maintain records of production, materials used, and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to meet production demands.
• Inspect raw materials and finished concrete to ensure quality standards are met.
• Report faults, breakdowns, and operational issues promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of OND / HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years proven experience operating a batching plant or similar industrial equipment (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of concrete production processes and materials.
• Ability to operate automated batching systems and control panels.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification in plant operation or maintenance.
• Experience in construction or ready-mix concrete industry.
• Familiarity with batching software and automated systems.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
