    Registrar

    The Position

    • By virtue of the Establishment Law, the Registrar is a Principal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the University, responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the affairs of the University except as regards matters for which the Bursar is responsible in accordance with Sections 6 and 7 of the First Schedule.
    • The Registrar is the Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.
    • The Registrar is the repository of University documents/records and the archives of the University history.
    • By virtue of this responsibility, the Registrar has an enviable carriage in the larger society and thus honour, privilege and respect deserving of the occupant of the office.

    Qualifications

    • Applicants must possess a good honours degree (minimum of second class lower) from a recognized University with at least 15 years cognate experience and must have served at a Senior administrative level for at least five years.
    • In addition, applicants must possess a higher degree and must be ICT compliant.
    • Membership of relevant (especially ANUPA) and recognized professional bodies is mandatory. Applicants must have occupied the position of a Deputy Registrar preferably in a University and should not be older than 60 years as at the possible date of assumption of duty.

    Conditions of Service

    • The successful applicant shall hold the position for a single term of five (5) years on such conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
    • The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to theposition of the University Registrar in the Nigerian University system and as may be determined from time to time by the Governing Council of the University.

    University Liberian

    The Position

    • The University Librarian is a Principal Officer of the University who shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration of the University Library, and the co-ordination of the library services in the University.
    • Being an academic staff position, the University Librarian shall be required to provide both academic and administrative leadership to members of staff in the University Library.

    Qualifications

    • Applicant must possess a good Honours degree (at least Second Class Lower), Master's degree and PhD in Library Science or its equivalent with at least fifteen (15) years relevant post-qualification experience in an and a current registration with the Librarians' Institution of higher leaming and Registration Council of Nigeria.
    • The Candidate should not be below the rank of Reader Librarian/Deputy University Librarian with vast experience in Library activities in a reputable University.
    • A suitable applicant must show evidence of substantial scholarly publications related to Library/Information Science in reputable journals and books, ICT compliant and should not be older than 65 years as at the possible date of assumption.
