    Chief Financial Officer

    Job Description

    • The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic financial leadership and oversight for the organization’s financial operations within a dynamic media and entertainment environment.
    • The role is responsible for driving financial strategy, managing financial risks, ensuring regulatory and statutory compliance, optimizing revenue streams, supporting content production and investment decisions, and sustaining long-term financial growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives and growth plans.
    • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, treasury, and financial controls.
    • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Lead financial planning, long-term forecasting, and financial modeling to support content production, new projects, product launches, and expansion initiatives.
    • Manage the company’s capital structure, liquidity, and banking relationships to support operational and investment needs.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and market risks inherent in media and entertainment operations.
    • Oversee internal and external audits and ensure full compliance with tax, legislative, and statutory obligations.
    • Optimize revenue generation, cost control, and profitability across all business units, productions, and projects.
    • Provide financial analysis to assess the viability of new and existing projects, programmes, and partnerships.
    • Draft, implement, and enforce financial policies, operating procedures, and internal controls.
    • Manage corporate financing activities, including funding rounds, investments, and strategic financing arrangements.
    • Ensure efficient tax planning and identify lawful opportunities to minimize tax exposure.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team, promoting high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Act as the primary financial liaison with investors, auditors, regulators, banks, and other external stakeholders.
    • Produce management reports and financial insights to support executive decision-making.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA is required; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
    • 10–12 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior financial leadership role.
    • Prior experience in media, entertainment, investment-driven, or project-based organizations is a strong advantage.
