    Internal Audit Manager

    Our client, a reputable Microfinance Bank

    Job Description

    • The role requires one who can formulate and implement sound financial policies, strategies and systems for the MFB.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage operations of audit department to ensure achievement of set objectives and goals.
    • Reviewing and advising the management on reliability, adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls.
    • Oversee and ensure preparation of timely Audit reports to the Board audit committee and provide progress reports regarding action taken by management
    • Conduct Audits in accordance with the approved internal audit plan.
    • Determine procedures are adequate to prevent or detect fraud, suppression, theft or misappropriation.

    Requirements

    • A Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting, Finance or similar qualifications with at least 5 years of senior management experience in a bank or retail financial institution or a Degree in, accounting, finance or similar qualifications with at least 7 years’ experience in a bank or retail financial institution.
    • Relevant professional qualifications in Finance i.e. ICAN, ACCA
    • Professional qualification such as CISA would be an added advantage
    • 5 years’ experience in Audit Department.

    Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills.
    • Wide exposure in the Audit field.
    • Thorough knowledge of the requirements of the Banking Act.
    • Able to interact at high executive level.

    Head of Operations

    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    • Managing the organization’s core business (branches).
    • Provide strategic direction in the management of microfinance operations.
    • Oversee the growth, expansion and decentralization of the bank’s portfolio.
    • Grow the client base, loan book, cash collateral and profits.
    • Provide technical advice in the planning and design of microfinance products in line with customer and market needs identified.
    • Keep abreast of new developments in microfinance operations and advice on relevant changes.
    • Ensuring compliance with legal and fiscal regulations.

    Requirements

    Job Description

    • Our client is currently in search of a qualified candidate for the Head of Finance position.
    • The role requires one who can formulate and implement sound financial policies, strategies and systems for the MFB.

    Responsibilities

    • Management of the bank’s financial function and maintenance of the bank’s books of account and implementation.
    • Formulating the bank’s financial strategy and ensuring it is properly implemented.
    • Formulating, implementing and maintaining sound financial and administrative policies, procedures and systems to sustain the organization.
    • Review analysis of budgets, costs and operations and status of ongoing programmes to determine progress and act on deviations.
    • Cash planning to ensure availability of funds to implement planned activities.
    • Ensure observance of internal controls-ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.

    Requirements

    Civil Engineer (Site) Sewage Water Treatment Plant

    Job Summary

    • We are currently looking to hire a Civil Engineer (Site),  with experience in construction of wastewater/sewage treatment plant projects and related construction activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Planning, execution and supervision of all construction activities.
    • Execution of required work through Setting out, explaining and delegating tasks to surveyors, foremen, subcontractors and labourers.
    • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress report.
    • Supervise and monitor project progress through site general supervisors from project initiation and close out.
    • Preparing the RFIs and coordinate with the third party for inspection.
    • Oversees quality control and safety matter on the site and ensures that regulations are adhered to.
    • Handles and supervises all civil works and ensures that construction activities are complying with contractual obligations and quality control standards.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in construction of wastewater/sewage treatment plant projects.
    • B.Sc in Civil Engineering.
    • Experience with Design/Build Projects desirable.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential, presentation and verbal communication skills.
    • Relevant Professional Membership is desired.
