    Inbound Officer

    Job Summary

    Vendease is looking to recruit an Inbound Officer in the Inventory & Warehouse Unit, to work closely with the Warehouse Lead in our Abuja Warehouse. Vendease aims to leverage advanced technologies and data-driven insights, strives to facilitate the growth and success of our partners, enabling them to delight their customers and contribute to the culinary landscape of Africa About The Role As an Inbound Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments

    Job Details

    • Receiving shipments, inspecting them for damage, and verifying their accuracy against purchase orders or delivery documents.
    • Inspect the quality and quantity of received goods, checking for any damages or discrepancies. 
    • Ensure all received goods are accurately labeled and recorded in the inventory management system. 
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all received shipments. 
    • Complete and file receiving reports, waybills, and other relevant documentation. 
    • Communicate any discrepancies or issues with shipments to the appropriate departments for resolution. 
    • Coordinate with the inventory officer to update stock levels and ensure accurate inventory records. 
    • Assist in organizing and maintaining the receiving area to ensure a safe and efficient workflow. 
    • Participate in regular inventory counts and audits as required. 
    • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and delivery personnel to schedule and coordinate incoming shipments.
    • Work closely with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations. 
    • Report any delays or issues in the receiving process to the Warehouse Lead or relevant personnel. 
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to receiving and inventory management. 
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the receiving area. 
    • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to prevent accidents and ensure efficient operations

    Requirements

    • 2+ years experience working in a warehouse, preferably in a food industry. 
    • A minimum of OND in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Technology, Supply Chain Management or any science related field. Professional Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Inventory, Warehouse and Logistics, e.t.c. will be an added advantage. 
    • Proficiency in basic computer skills such as using email, spreadsheet software, word document, e.t.c. 
    • Experience with barcode scanning equipment and software for accurately identifying and tracking goods. 
    • Knowledge of Inventory Management Systems (SAP, Odoo, Oracle, Navation, e.t.c) is compulsory. 
    • Knowledge of Food Safety Standards. 
    • Excellent organizational skill. 
    • Attention to detail

    Outbound Officer

    Job Details

    • Oversee the picking, packing, and preparation of outgoing orders. 
    • Ensure all shipments are packed securely and labeled correctly according to delivery requirements. 
    • Verify the accuracy of orders before dispatching to ensure all items match the order specifications. 
    • Coordinate with logistics partners to arrange timely pickups and deliveries. 
    • Track and monitor the status of outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. 
    • Handle any issues or delays in the shipping process and communicate with customers as needed. 
    • Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documents. 
    • Maintain accurate records of all outbound shipments for tracking and reporting purposes. 
    • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for shipping. 
    • Work closely with the inventory officer to update stock levels and ensure the availability of products for outgoing orders. 
    • Participate in regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accuracy. 
    • Assist in managing inventory locations and optimizing warehouse space for efficient operations.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of outbound operations. 
    • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to outbound shipments. 
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely information about shipment statuses. 
    • Collaborate with the Customer Advocacy team to address any order-related issues.

About the role As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for the efficient storage, organization, and movement of goods.

    Job Details

    • Receiving shipments, inspecting them for damage, and verifying their accuracy against purchase orders or delivery documents. 
    • Storing of goods in the correct locations within the warehouse, following established inventory management procedures 
    • Fulfilling customer orders by accurately picking the required items from their designated locations in the warehouse and packing them securely for shipment. 
    • Loading goods onto delivery vehicles for outgoing shipments and unloading incoming shipments. 
    • Participate in regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels. 
    • Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and free from hazards. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Associate.
