    Medical Value Partner - IMEA3

    The Position

    Roche Diabetes Care in Midrand, Nairobi or Lagos  is seeking a Medical Value Partner for the IMEA 3 Region.

    As a Medical Value Partner you are forward-looking and market oriented individual who supports evidence generation and dissemination of evidence of Roche’s current product and solutions portfolio as well as identifying and supporting opportunities to build a better diabetes management by means of integrated Personalised Diabetes Management (iPDM).  You will create value by strategic KOL and PwD engagement, as well as engaging in a broader healthcare network to position Roche Diabetes Care as best partner for iPDM.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify the unmet needs for PwD and healthcare professionals within a given geography and inform global medical to work on solution development.

    • Contribution and commitment to the OneMedical objectives and goals, identifying the medical KPIs at country/ cluster level and commit to delivering those in a timely manner.

    • Execution of the cluster/ country medical affairs activities - contributing locally and for other countries in or outside of the cluster. This could include the following:  - Stakeholder collaboration and engagement (HCPs, KOLs, PwD, patient and healthcare organisations).  - Medical education and scientific communication (internal and external). - Evidence generation – Generating insights into new opportunities. - Create awareness and understanding of the iPDM strategy.

    • Acting as a business partner to the local commercial team. 

    • Being an active member of the cluster/ direct-reporting country team and of global networks and/or communities of practice.

    • Act as the point of contact for specific regions and as the established go-to person within the cluster with specific subject matter expertise.

    You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:

    • Experience: -  2-3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry 

    • Knowledge: Relevant medical and scientific knowledge, Subject matter expertise, Affinity with data science,  familiarity with digital health solutions and a solid understanding of good clinical practice and of ethical standards.

    • Qualifications: BSc/MSc in relevant scientific medical field

    • Competencies: Fluency in written and spoken English, Organization and planning skills, Good communication and presentation skills, Ability to operate successfully in a matrix environment with shared accountability and responsibilities.

    Product Manager West Africa

    The Position

    Roche Diabetes Care in Lagos is seeking a Product Manager for a 1 year fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be required to develop, communicate and implement the ideal product strategy for the allocated region portfolio taking into account market intelligence and trends, in order to secure optimum positioning, profitability and growth.  You will be required to work with external partners and stakeholders to form strategic alliances for maximum market penetration.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Developing and implementing the country specific market vision and strategy within the assigned region (focus countries to be agreed upon).

    • Development and implementation of the focus countries marketing plan, including the roadmap for services, solutions and product offerings, ensuring that these support the corporate objectives (including strategies, promotional spend and sales).

    • Forecasting and phasing of products within the responsible countries, as well as product life cycle within these countries.

    • Management of the assigned promotional budget.

    • Development (as appropriate), localisation and implementation of campaigns relevant to marketing plan. 

    • Management and implementation of marketing tactics (congresses, promotions, customer messaging) as described in the marketing plan.

    • Managing the local advertising agency by providing latest data, briefing updates and enhancements, defining delivery deadlines and coordinating that deliverables are received as budgeted, specified and within deadline.

    • Measurement and reporting performance of all marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).

    • Monitoring the effectiveness and appropriateness of the marketing strategy and on-going achievement of the set sales targets by interacting and liaising with the Sales Managers and Sales Representatives, gathering feedback, interpreting and amending strategy as required.

    • Preparing regular marketing activity reports.

    • Inspiring, enthusing and motivating key stakeholders, both internal and external, about the relevant brand and products of Roche Diabetes Care.

    • Product training within the assigned region, for both internal and external stakeholders.

    • Researching, planning and garnishing insights of competitors and similar products within the markets of responsibility, in order to produce relevant and differentiated/competitive marketing plans.

    • Collaborating and engaging with Management Centre marketing team, to facilitate feedback on market insights and dynamics, as well as providing inputs as required to development of campaigns, product messaging and brand related marketing topics.

    • Ensuring avoidance of silo work-streams and mobilisation towards achieving overall business objectives and work efficiencies.

    • Collaborating and engaging with relevant stakeholders within the Management Centre (sales teams/ key account managers) in order to drive business objectives.

    • Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement and relationship management within territory.

    • Providing customer service levels within the framework of "Going the Extra Mile", but not to the detriment of Roche.

    • Performing basic complaint management functions which includes but is not limited to receiving a case from the customer and reporting it to the DC call centre for capturing and investigating.

    • Managing full compliance and support of the corporate culture and ethics of all product management activities by maintaining expertise, abiding with compliance requirements, managing compliance and communicating legal and compliance requirements at all times.

    You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:

    •  Experience: 3-5 years experience in Healthcare Marketing or Sales.

    • Qualifications: A Business qualification e.g. IMM, MBA will be an advantage.

    • Other requirements: Pharmaceutical/ Medical Device Industry, Marketing, Product Strategy and Sales knowledge. Knowledge of Market Access would be beneficial.

    Integrated Disease Solution Leader - Pharma International (Sparker Ophthalmology)

    The Position

    Roche is launching products across Pharma International markets and has a robust pipeline in Ophthalmology, a new disease area for the company with a significant opportunity ahead. This role will expand the Ophthalmology Network Enabling Office team, to address work needs across our portfolio in that disease area

    The iDSL is a functionally agnostic leader and an enabler of impactful networking and empowerment of ‘local’ ecosystems across franchises and disease areas using an enterprise mindset, to enable real value addition between Roche and the community of patients, families and HCPs.

    You will leverage the above-country network to identify ecosystems with similar challenges in their communities. Where relevant, collaborate to enable better, faster, and more effective solutions for in-country enablers. You match capabilities, capacity, and passion to areas of greatest potential impact for patients, healthcare systems and Roche. You will continuously grow and develop as individuals and as a self-managed team to role model for the organization.

    While your key responsibility is to deliver on the needs of the communities, ecosystems and the company products you are responsible for, you will also align the Pharma International Network on prioritized outcomes for Ophthalmology, swarm resources and stewardship through the network towards the prioritized outcomes, and assess progress for accelerated impact.

    • Stewarding the therapeutic areas across Pharma International affiliates, addressing the need to support the appropriate use of Roche’s approved medicines to add value to patients and healthcare systems.

    You bring the following education and experiences:

    • Significant healthcare customer-facing experience, preferably in more than one country/ setting e.g. Global and above country roles

    • Experience in commercial or access strategy roles in surgical medical devices markets is highly desirable.

    • Proven effective, agile, fit-for-purpose leadership of cross-functional teams

    • Global strategy development experience preferred as well as pre-launch and launch experience at a country level 

    • Good knowledge of drug development and commercialization processes, reimbursement environment, regulatory and compliance requirements

    This role is open for location-agnostic working, which means that we can potentially offer a contract based on the location of the final candidate. (Basel timezone compatibility preferred)
