    Mobile Developer

    Reports to: Head of Engineering

    Salary range: N200,000 – N280,000 (monthly gross)

    Role Summary

    You are responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of Android devices. Your primary focus will be the development of applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Develop new user-facing features
    • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
    • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
    • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
    • Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java/Kotlin code
    • Convert mockups and wireframes into actual Mobile apps.
    • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
    • Help maintain code quality, organization, and optimization
    • Publish applications to playstore.
    • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

    Job specification

    • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
    • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
    • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
    • Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
    • Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers.
    • Familiarity with Google location services
    • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
    • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
    • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
    • A knack for benchmarking and optimization
    • Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
    • Minimum of 2 working years’ experience.
    • Familiarity with Kotlin

    Fullstack Developer

    Reports to: Head of Engineering

    Salary range: N200,000 – N280,000 (monthly gross)

    Role Summary

    We are looking for an analytical, results-driven fullstack developer who will work with team members to troubleshoot and improve current front and backend applications and processes. The Fullstack Developer will use his or her understanding of programming languages and tools to analyze current codes and industry developments, formulate more efficient processes, solve problems, and create a more seamless experience for users.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Collaborating with other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
    • Collaborate with Product and Development team members to develop solutions.
    • Well structured, responsive and modular MEAN stack application development.
    • Develop, design and implement system architecture using best practice.

    Job specification

    • Proficiency of the following tools: MEAN Stack (MongoDB, ExpresJS and NodeJS), SQL databases(PostgresDB and MySQL), Version Control system: Git, RESTful Web API development
    • Familiarity with Docker 
    • Professional software development working experience(at least 3years)
    • Have deployed applications using MEAN stack
    • Understands the concepts of NoSQL and SQL databases, and know when to use one over the other. Proficiency with version control system git (Bitbucket, Github, Gitlab)
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Securing data or access to applications with multiple user levels, or has the ability to customize based on user levels
    • Ensuring the quality of applications through unit testing (Mocha)

    Frontend Developer

    Reports to: Head of Engineering

    Salary range: N200,000 – N280,000 (monthly gross)

    Role Summary

    We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. His / Her responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. S/he will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Develop new user-facing features
    • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
    • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
    • Optimize web application for maximum speed and scalability
    • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
    • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
    • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
    • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
    • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

    Job specification

    • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
    • Basic understanding of CSS-processing tools, such as LESS and SASS
    • Proficiency in client-side JavaScript library, ReactJs
    • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
    • Understanding of RESTful APIs.
    • Experience with offline storage and performance tuning
    • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
    • A knack for benchmarking and optimization
    • Minimum of 3 years professional experience
