    Production Superintendent

    Reports To: production manager

    Job Summary:

    The Production Superintendent oversees daily operations on the manufacturing floor, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely within the plastics processing environment. This role is responsible for supervising production teams, maintaining quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities for plastic molding, extrusion, or thermoforming processes.
    • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
    • Monitor production schedules, equipment, and raw material usage to meet customer demands and minimize downtime.
    • Lead, train, and evaluate production staff; maintain workforce discipline and team morale.
    • Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics departments to ensure seamless operations.
    • Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
    • Maintain accurate records for production, labor, waste, and downtime.
    • Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues to minimize disruptions.
    • Assist in budget planning and cost control efforts.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
    • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role, preferably in the plastics industry.
    • Strong understanding of plastic processing techniques (e.g., injection molding, blow molding, extrusion).
    • Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and quality systems (ISO, GMP, etc.).
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office and manufacturing software (ERP/MRP systems).

    Working Conditions:

    • Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and machinery.
    • Occasional weekend or evening work may be required based on production needs.

    Electrical/Electronic Engineer

    Reports To:Head of Engineering 
    Salary: 300,000.00 – 350,000.00

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in plastic manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and equipment used in the production of plastic products. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all electrical systems across the facility.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery in a plastic manufacturing environment.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues affecting production equipment, including injection molding machines, extrusion lines, thermoforming units, and robotic systems.
    • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
    • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, production teams, and maintenance personnel to ensure seamless plant operations.
    • Program, calibrate, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other automation control devices.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies (OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, etc.).
    • Lead electrical aspects of capital projects, including the installation of new equipment or retrofitting existing systems.
    • Conduct energy audits and suggest improvements for energy efficiency and cost reduction.
    • Maintain accurate documentation including schematics, manuals, and maintenance logs.
    • Train and mentor junior electrical technicians and support staff.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in an electrical engineering role within a plastic manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and automated machinery.
    • Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar) and industrial automation.
    • Familiarity with thermoplastics processes (injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, etc.) is a must.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
    • Certification in electrical safety or related field is an advantage (e.g., Licensed Professional Engineer, OSHA 30).

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with SCADA systems, robotics, and IoT in manufacturing.
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Project management experience.

    Working Conditions:

    • Primarily plant floor and manufacturing environment.
    • May require occasional evening or weekend work to support production needs or project deadlines.
    • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
