    Venture Investment Manager

    JOB SUMMARY

    The role holder is responsible for;

    Leading the investment sourcing process, running prospect meetings and conducting the subsequent investment analysis.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage the deal process from start to finish, including sourcing new prospects, running introduction meetings, conducting in-depth financial/technical/strategic analysis, and presenting the prospects to the investment team.
    • Assist with overall deal-flow management.
    • Conduct research on markets, technology use cases and industry trends.
    • Communicate and integrate day-to-day with the core team to complete key priorities.
    • Develop financial and operational models relating to live fundraising scenarios.
    • Create presentation materials for prospects and portfolio companies.
    • Support with marketing and investor relations.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A First degree in any relevant Finance discipline.
    • Professional certification and master’s certification is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of Five (5) to Seven (7) years’ experience in start-ups or start-up investment.
    • Excellent talented presenter and track record of contributing to panels and events.
    • A strong team player with experience of managing teams to high performance.
    • Ability to take initiative and source tasks independently.
    • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

    Head, Mobile Wallet (ES00303)

    JOB OBJECTIVE(S)

    The role will be responsible for:

    • Conceptualize the value proposition and strategic initiatives for the adoption of Mobile and e-Wallets.

    • Manage Wallet product initiatives throughout their lifecycles from planning to implementation, sales, monitoring, and product support in line with the Bank’s strategic objectives.

    • Build and manage payment ecosystems built around Wallets within Mass Markets and Corporate organizations e.g. Manufacturing, Transport Services, Public sectors, Private Organizations, Financial Institutions etc.

    • Build strong relationships with Industry Leaders, Regulators, Payment Aggregators and Switches to gain insight into new regulations, and technology trends and have first-hand information for better business decisions, directions, and policy implementation.

    • Develop Management briefs, and perform periodic reviews and evaluations of performance, while proposing process improvements and corrective actions so as to remain competitive in the target markets.

    • Build and sustain a robust financial model to manage the cost profile of the business, while meeting the projected profitability of the business in line with pre-agreed KPIs.

    • Supervise, coordinate and manage the activities of the Mobile Wallet Team members.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and manage compelling initiatives and solutions that will aid targeted customer acquisition and activation activities.

    • Identify and obtain new payment mandates (around wallets) from corporate bodies, as well as Government and Non-Government Organizations leveraging on existing relationships within the Bank.

    • Develop and utilize specific marketing programs to drive results in the identified Retail, Commercial and Public Sector markets.

    • Study and analyze market conditions in order to Identify key industry peers/ competitors and consumer trends.

    • Articulate market requirements and opportunities for product innovation and enhancements.

    • Plan and determine product specifications, create product road maps and define the long-term product strategy.

    • Develop pricing strategies and product policies and manage interactions and communicate with cross-functional teams.

    • Develop product marketing plans and event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand.

    • Conduct product knowledge and awareness presentations; develop sales tools and training materials to equip relationship managers on product sales.

    • Drive ongoing improvement in sales and profitability.

    • Manage product-related support, feedback and inquiries from users.

    • Coordinate market research to track customer and end-user feedback.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • First degree in a relevant discipline.
    • Relevant 8 years experience in FCMG, Telecoms, Banking, Microfinance, Mobile Money, Payments, and other relevant sectors.
    • MBA is an added advantage.
    • Professional certifications in cognate knowledge areas.
    • Relevant knowledge of regulatory policies/guidelines.
    • Industry knowledge of global trends in mobile payments and financial inclusion.
