    Finance Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage all project financial transactions in compliance with HARAF and donor financial policies.
    • Ensure proper documentation, recording, and filing of all financial and procurement-related documents.
    • Prepare payment vouchers, ensure completeness of supporting documents, and process vendor payments.
    • Support procurement processes by reviewing and verifying quotations, purchase orders, and bid documents for financial accuracy and compliance.
    • Maintain accurate project accounts, ledgers, and cashbooks.
    • Reconcile bank and cash accounts regularly and report discrepancies.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the project.
    • Support the development of project budgets, expenditure forecasts, and financial analysis.
    • Monitor project expenditure to ensure alignment with approved budgets and donor requirements.
    • Facilitate internal and external audits and ensure timely submission of audit documents.
    • Work closely with program, admin, and logistics teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager.

    Qualification/professional competencies:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    •  Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in finance and accounting roles.
    • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN) is an added advantage.
    • Experience working with NGOs or donor-funded projects preferred.
    • High level of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Fluency in English (knowledge of Hausa or other local languages is an advantage).

    Core Competencies

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
    •  Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
    • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
    •  Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

    Project Coordinator (Health)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide overall leadership and coordination of all health-related programs and interventions.
    • Develop and oversee implementation plans, budgets, and work plans for health projects.
    • Ensure quality and timely delivery of health services in line with national and international standards.
    • Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of health project staff and volunteers.
    • Strengthen collaboration with local health authorities, partner organizations, and community stakeholders.
    • Monitor project performance through regular field visits, data reviews, and supervision.
    • Ensure effective use of project resources and adherence to donor and organizational compliance requirements.
    • Prepare high-quality project reports, case studies, and technical inputs for proposals.
    • Support the design of new health programs and contribute to strategic planning processes.
    • Promote community participation and ownership in health interventions.
    • Represent HARAF in health sector coordination meetings, workshops, and technical forums.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Program Manager or Executive Director.

    Qualification/professional competencies:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience managing or coordinating health programs, preferably within NGOs or humanitarian contexts.
    • Strong understanding of primary health care, reproductive health, nutrition, and disease prevention programs.
    • Proven experience in project planning, team management, monitoring, and donor reporting.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with health data management tools.
    • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and in challenging environments.
    • Fluency in English (knowledge of Hausa or other local languages is an advantage).

    Project Assistant (Midwife)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide quality antenatal, delivery, and postnatal care services to women and newborns.
    • Conduct health education and awareness sessions on safe motherhood, family planning, and newborn care.
    • Support outreach and mobile clinic activities in target communities.
    • Ensure infection prevention and control (IPC) measures are maintained at all times.
    • Identify, manage, and refer obstetric complications according to established protocols.
    • Maintain accurate patient records, registers, and monthly reports.
    • Participate in community mobilization activities to increase access and utilization of maternal health services.
    • Collaborate with other health staff, community volunteers, and project officers to strengthen referral pathways.
    • Contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities through accurate data collection and timely reporting.
    • Carrying and supervising administrative procedures and documents (fill in patient’s files, forms, consumptions, statistics, registers, health files, etc.)
    • Adheres to the relevant Code of conduct and ethics.
    • Participates in outreach and community health programs (as required)
    • Participates in Continuing Professional Development (i.e. trainings, mentoring)
    • Plans care of the patient in collaboration with the site doctor.
    • Maintains all reusable equipment by cleaning and sterilizing appropriately.
    • Maintain adequate and correct records of patient care including consumables & instruments utilized (if any)
    • Ensure high quality Nursing and Midwifery health services at all project sites.
    • Works with technical support and M&E teams to collect appropriate baseline data over the life of the project
    • Compiles and submits monthly reports
    • Ensures adequate infection prevention and control measures are maintained at all times.
    • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor to support program goals.

    Qualification/professional competencies:

    • Registered Midwife (RM) or Registered Nurse/Midwife (RNM) with current license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
    • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience providing maternal and newborn health services, preferably with an NGO or in humanitarian settings.
    • Sound knowledge of clinical standards and reproductive health protocols.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in rural and resource-limited environments.
    • Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel) and experience with health reporting tools are added advantages.
    • Fluency in English and local languages (Hausa and Kanuri) is desirable.
