    Drilling Supervisor

    Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

    Tasks:

    • Protect the company interest on the rig
    • Supervise the day to day offshore drilling/workover/testing/completion operation
    • Supervise the execution of the drilling/workover/testing/completion program
    • Supervise the movements of boats within the exclusion zone of the drilling rig
    • Supervise the service contractors/sub contractors working for the company
    • Plan ahead to determine future requirements for drilling equipment and consumables
    • 7. Liaise with the logistic base to communicate future supply / back-load requirements
    • Report progress made on a regular base with the offshore superintendent
    • Prepare and provide drilling, rig and well data for the Lagos office
    • Discuss program changes with the offshore superintendent
    • Liaise with other departments (e.g. production) to discuss and schedule concurrent operations.
    • Check and sign job tickets (not invoices) from service contractors.

    Accountable for:

    • Operational success of all operations on the rig; drilling, testing, completion, tree running, workover, rig moves etc.
    • Ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with all HSE standards and regulations
    • Ensure that the drilling operation is conducted in the most cost effective manner
    • Ensure that all contractors perform in accordance with the relevant contract
    • Ensure all materials and services are ordered timely
    • Ensure that all materials received are of the correct specification (QA/QC).
    • Ensure that rental items are returned to shore timely
    • Ensure that the job tickets presented for signature are completed properly and times and quantities are correct
    • Ensure that data provided to shore is correct
    • Ensure that conflict between departments is solved rapidly and professionally taking into account the overall interest of the company.
    • Ensure that boats within the exclusion zone of the drilling rig are moved and anchored in compliance with the Company procedures

    Key Performance Indicators/ Performance Goals:

    • Implementation of program in accordance with plan.
    • Zero LTI
    • Low NPT on the rig, less than 10%
    • Cost effective management of rental tools. Tools discharged from rig within 2 days of completion of job.
    • Accuracy of values for all signed job tickets.

    Financial Dimensions:

    • Well Budgets to the tune of $80 - $100 million per year.
    • Education Qualification: High School education (minimum). Possession of a degree is an advantage.

    Professional Qualification: Attended industry courses in well engineering, well operations management, project management.

    Job duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

    • Supervise all well operation, ensuring they are safe and efficient
    • Oversee interaction of service contractors in well design and operations
    • Review well engineering plans and programs to ensure the objectives can be met and that the rig can efficiently and safely execute the program.
    • Determine future requirements for drilling equipment and consumables in line with technical work program and ensure they are available for wells planned.
    • Liaise with the logistics department to ensure effective movement of materials equipment and personnel.
    • liaise with other departments (e.g production and facilities engineering) to discuss and organize concurrent operations to be done safely and efficiently.
    • Obtain statutory approval for all well programs before commencement.
    • Check and sign invoices from service contractors
    • Monitor implementation of drilling program and ensure compliance with well plans and achievements of agreed KPI’s

    • Ensure Challenge sessions, DWOP sessions, Prespud meetings, NPT and lessons learnt meetings etc are held routinely before wells are drilled and afterwards, as applicable , and that lessons are transferred from well to well.

    • Complete execution of wells and that this is done in the most cost effective way, giving full consideration to all HSE aspects.

    Principal Drilling Engineer(Semi Submersible)

    Description of the Work:

    • Lead a team of drilling/completion and well test engineers in planning and supporting the safe and efficient delivery of development, exploration and appraisal wells in water-depths up t700ft, offshore Nigeria.
    • Operations involve the following special challenges:
    • High pressure / narrow margin drilling techniques,

    Piping / Drafting Engineer

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The role will be to assure optimal and safe utilization of existing producing assets and Pipeline/Flowline facilities for enhanced oil and gas production through facilities/process optimization and surveillance engineering activities. The position will also be responsible for process design for new assets as well as act as the Technical authority for company’s process design work.

    • Ensuring drawing quality and maintaining quality records.
    • Filing and maintaining drawings and drawing register.

    • Produce various company drawings to the agreed schedule.

    • Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Engineering Quality Assurance system
    • Ensure availability of up-to-date As-built documentation for all existing producing facilities, including Pipelines/flowlines.
    • Ensure that all HSE issues have been addressed and systems are developed to manage same.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of departmental risk and opportunity register for each project.

    KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:

    • Up to Date As built information for Oben, Sapele and Amukpe Facilities.
    • Meeting the objectives set by the Statement of Requirements
    • Maintaining a good relationship with host communities
    • Meeting HSE and Security objectives set for the project
    • Able to work with minimal supervision.

    HSE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • All HSE matters relating to the piping/drafting activities.
    • Leadership and advance safety auditing at all locations visited
    • Provide input to safety cases etc.
    • Maintain a solid relationship with Host Communities

    QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    Production Superintendent

    Job Description:

    • Ensure operability and process safety during construction, commissioning and start-up, and Operation.
    • Develop and implement production strategies for specific operating units.

    Drilling Superintendent (Semi Submersible)

    Description of the Work:

    • Manage the safe and efficient delivery of development, exploration and appraisal wells in water-depths up t1000ft, offshore Nigeria.
    • Operations involve the following special challenges:
    • High pressure / narrow margin drilling techniques,
    • High angle / extended reach drilling,
    • Subsea completions and well testing,
    • Third party staff, service and equipment quality,
    • Complex supply chain and logistics.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience, of which at least 5 in a similar position for a Semi.
    • Knowledge of onshore and jack-up operations would be beneficial.

    Education:

    • BOSIET offshore firefighting and survival or equivalent, including HUET.
    • IWCF subsea well control at supervisory level or equivalent.

    Other Requirements:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading effectively in a multi-cultural society.
    • Sound knowledge of drilling engineering and international industry standards, ideally acquired while working for a large international operator.
