    Assistant Procurement Manager

    The Job

    • Ensure adequacy of bid specifications and preparation of sourcing related documents
    • Process ERP transactions and monitor contract executions; termination, renewal or amendment of terms
    • Identify and close bypass to increase procurement involvement on spend
    • Identify and deliver savings on spend under management.
    • Support business partnering of assigned business units and deliver on approved SLA.
    • Track, report key functional metrics in line with departmental objectives.
    • Assist the Procurement Manager in establishing strategic relationships with key suppliers
    • Handle performance issues and escalate as necessary.

    Qualifications

    • First Degree in any field
    • Membership in CIPS is an added advantage.
    • 3 years cognate experience.

    The Person Must:

    • Be numerate and possess analytical skills.
    • Possess people & project management skills and must be confident.
    • Be persuasive, have excellent negotiations and effective communication skills.
    • Be results driven.

    Audit Officer - Business Assurance

    Purpose of the Job

    • To monitor internal control processes established by the management, and to appraise independently the accounting, financial and other controls within the organisation.

    The Job

    • Performs the preliminary review, including the internal control evaluation and assists the Audit Manager in designing audit programs related to systems review and governance, in line with the Annual Audit Plan.
    • Completes portion of audit program under guidance, evaluates and tests business processes and control, identifies areas of risk and internal control improvement opportunities and ensures timely completion of, and reporting on individual audit engagements in line with Institute of Internal Auditors’ (IIA’s) Standards.
    • Prepares and organises audit work papers that adequately support audit conclusions and recommendations in line with International standards for the professional practice of internal auditing.
    • Works under supervision to conduct assurance and consulting audits and develop recommendations in accordance with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
    • Work alongside internal auditors to learn professional practices on audits, gain exposure to various types of projects, learn about operations in various functional areas, build a knowledge base of organizational operations, perform general research, and provide support.
    • To perform other duties as assigned by Business Assurance Management staff.

    Qualifications

    • First Degree / HND in Accounting or related field
    • Professional Certification - ACA, ACCA or CIA will be an added advantage.
    • 5 ‘O’ level credits including Mathematics and English in not more than 2 sitting.
    • 3 years cognate experience.

    The Person Must:

    • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Have a high level of concentration and patience.
    • Have strong time management skills.
    • Be detail oriented.
    • Have excellent analytical and statistical skills.

    Procurement Manager

    The Job

    • Develop in collaboration with respective departments strategies, standard operating procedures, sustainable cost improvement processes and a transparent cost reporting structure.
    • Source and procure approved items at lowest prices without compromising on quality
    • Develop a complete preferred supplier and alternate list based on approved criteria as set by management
    • Provide monthly report and analysis of internal and external spend on purchases
    • Ensure implementation of agreed upon strategies.

    Qualifications

    • CPM (certified purchasing Manager) preferred
    • B.Sc./ HND 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics and English.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years cognate experience
    • Knowledge of Engineering items.

    The Person:

    • Strong Business acumen
    • Excellent relational and communication skills
    • Strong negotiation skill
    • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
