    Associate Director – Pharmacy & Supply Chain Management

    Job Description

    The Associate Director – Pharmacy & Supply Chain Management will be a key member of the senior management team and will provide strategic direction for the implementation of various health interventions including pharmaceutical care and logistic pipeline management.

    • H/She will oversee a pharmaceutical and logistic team of managers providing technical support in capacity building, pharmaceutical care service delivery for PLHIV on HAART and adjutant drugs at the HQ to supported facilities providing HIV/AIDS care and treatment services that are consistent with the national HIV/AIDS plan in Nigeria.
    • Work with pharmaceutical and logistic team to analyze, report and provide direction on patient per regime.
    • Support pharmaceutical care for differentiated care model, patient monitoring-ADR, Treatment failure management and regime sequencing.
    • Design and coordinate the implementation of pharmacy best practices across all ECEWS supported sites.
    • Ensure the development, dissemination and application of appropriate pharmaceutical services SOPs and training curriculum across supported sites.
    • Assist the store’s department in implementing SOPs for the warehouse in line with Good Pharmaceutical Storage Practices.
    • Monitor the efficient ordering and Last Mile Distribution (LMD) of commodities from the National Central Procurement & Distribution system and provide feedback as necessary.
    • Assist in planning, monitoring, and tracking the timely and correct quantification, purchase requests, storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals and other commodities.
    • Tracking, monitoring, and inventory analysis of all pharmacy stock employing the use of monitoring tools, spread sheets and databases.
    • Monitor and review pharmaceutical care performance and identify associated potential problems and activities across states and proffer immediate and long-term solutions.
    • Support the implementation of a pharmaceutical care for differentiated care model, patient monitoring-ADR, Treatment failure management and regime sequencing.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and an advanced degree in Public Health or Social Science will be an added advantage.
    • At least Ten (10) years post NYSC experience of running/implementing public health programs preferably in the NGO context.
    • Knowledge and experience in the design, implementation, and management of pharmaceutical and logistic best practices in HIV/AIDS program or any other public health intervention program
    • One to three (3-5) years of leadership experience (e.g. projects, teams, initiative) and influencing teams.
    • Thorough understanding (based on experience) of Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety in the HIV program.
    • Registration with the relevant Pharmacy regulatory bodies in Nigeria.
    • Must have knowledge of and experience with HIV care and treatment medication.
    • Must have previous experience working in a multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting.

    Associate Director – HSS & CQI

    Job Description

    • The successful person will ensure the implementation and monitoring of health systems strengthening activities.
    • S/He will support t in site coordination, supervision, mentorship, and institutional capacity building.
    • S/He will provide support in preparations for meetings, writing reports and concept notes; will liaise with clients and relevant stakeholders at the State and facility levels on health systems strengthening related activities.
    • Ensure translation of the project-supported package of service delivery interventions into service- level standards or operating procedures consistent with national guidelines and policies
    • Review, analysis and assessment of service delivery data and reports for compliance with set quality standards

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • Must possess a Degree in Public Health, Medicine, or related discipline.
    • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years’ post-qualification experience in health systems strengthening, health financing, or human resource for health management.
    • At least 8 years of clinical current hands-on experience of providing integrated HIV/AIDS services to diverse patients in a large program-linked facility or very busy clinical practice.

    State Technical Lead/Incident Commander

    Job Description

    • Solely responsible for the achievement of all project objectives in the state
    • Provide overall leadership and coordination concerning the implementation of the project at the State level.
    • Facilitate a productive and safe work environment amongst the State project team optimal for achievement of project deliverables, with escalation to HQ if/when necessary.
    • Work with the community, LGA and State level stakeholders as well as other relevant organizations to mobilize resources in support of the project in the State.

    Data Entry Clerk

    Job Summary

    • To ensure that all client cards are duly completed by the attending health workers. 
    • Ensure that all services delivered by the health facility are duly registered in the designated registers and that all registers are filled appropriately.

    Adherence Counsellor

    Job Summary

    • Provide psychosocial and continuous support as well as treatment preparation to clients in the health facility.
    • Provide counselling services including risk reduction counseling, harm reduction counseling, post-GBV counseling, or contraceptive/family planning counseling as required.
    • Identify and address challenges/barriers to adherence.
    • Organize and facilitate support group sessions for HIV infected and affected clients including groups with special needs e.g. discordant couples, youth/adolescent, and children.

    Senior Program Officer – MEL/SI

    Job Description

     

    • The incumbent will manage information systems, conduct data analysis, and provide strategic insights to enhance programmatic effectiveness as well proficiency in the use of DHIS2.
    • Configure DHIS2 to capture and report data across multiple health programs including HIV/AIDS, Hypertension, NCDs, etc. This involved setting up data elements, indicator definitions, datasets, dashboards, and reporting templates.

    Laboratory Interns

    Job Description

    • The Laboratory Intern liaises with the State Laboratory Team and designated Facility Laboratory Focal Persons/Quality Officers to provide technical support and implement high quality HIV and Recency Rapid Test Continuous Quality Improvement (RTCQI) program in all SPEED-supported community and facility testing sites.
    • Assist in the preparation/production, distribution of EQA-PT & QC panels as well as implementation and monitoring of Corrective Actions for participating sites at regular intervals.
    • S/he will be responsible at the state level for laboratory logistics and Rapid Testing Continuous Quality Improvement (RTCQI) activities.
    • The job holder will be responsible for the daily HIV testing worksheet reviews and bi-weekly reporting on the computed concurrence rate between tests (T1&T2). S/he will also monitor the retesting for verification documentation for the state.
    • S/he will support the state Laboratory Team to conduct competency assessment for all newly engaged Testers at sites.
    • The job holder will be responsible for monitoring the implementation of facility QIPs generated from testing facilities’ assessments to ensure closure of all identified non-conformances.
    • S/he will support the implementation of Laboratory Continuous Quality Improvement programs (QMS and TB CLICQI), and the deployment and institution of appropriate corrective and preventive actions respectively.
    • Liaise with RTCQI Specialist for reports on performance of PT, site supervisions, site audits, staff competency evaluation and key milestones.
    • Provide support to strengthen the coordination of all aspects of the RTCQI project and write reports and prepare presentations describing progress and achievements with regards to RTCQI.

    Key Populations/HIV Testing Services Interns

    Job Description

    • The KP/HTS Intern liaises with the State KP/HTS Team and designated OSS and facility Linkage and Retention Coordinators to support case finding and linkage of KPs and priority population in all SPEED-supported community and facility testing sites.
    • The incumbent will support the implementation of community-based HIV service delivery and the supportive supervision of the OSS & CBO’s for KPs (FSW, MSM, TWG, and PWIDs).
    • The incumbent will support in the implementation of prevention, risk reduction and adherence treatment services for Key Population, assist in managing persons responsible for identifying and working with Key Population groups to carry out outreaches and work closely with the KP/HTS state technical team to ensure access to HTS.
    • The intern will ensure behavioural maintenance activities are implemented among the KP groups with responsibility for appropriate implementation of program activities in HIV prevention for key and vulnerable populations.
    • Liaise with all testing points within the facility to ensure all clients testing positive newly are linked to treatment - 100% linkage.
    • Distribute HIV self-testing kits through assisted and unassisted channels and ensure reactive clients are tested at ECEWS supported facilities using the national testing algorithm.
    • Refers clients yet to be linked to lay counselors and/or community health workers for follow-up tracing.
    • Ensures tracking processes and outcome is recorded in the contact tracking and termination form and register.
    • Ensure complete documentation of HTS and IT source documents, share daily/Weekly/Monthly report with the ECEWS backstops and on other platforms provided for routine reporting.
    • Support the documentation of innovations, success stories, milestones, best practices, and lessons learnt in implementation of interventions.
    • The incumbent will establish and strengthen mechanisms for routine tracking and assessment of project outcomes at all supported entities in the state.
    • S/he will support the KP/HTS Team/OSS clinicians in the management of daily operations of the One Stop Shop.

    • This will include scale up of the provision of combination ARV regimens and antiretroviral treatment (as appropriate) as prophylaxis.
    • The role will include strengthening linkages and integration between sexual and reproductive health (SRH), Maternal Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) services and HIV/AIDS programs.
    • Any other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • Advanced degree in Nursing/Midwifery, Medicine, or Public Health.
    • At least 6 years’ clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and antiretroviral treatment Experience in providing PMTCT services.
    • Robust clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and antiretroviral treatment; knowledge of clinical issues and current literature in HIV/AIDS and PMTCT.
    • Excellent personal communication skills, in written and verbal English, with high impact influencing and persuasive skills and able to represent the organization to donors and partners.
    • Good experience of using Ms. Word, Excel or applicable software related to position.
