An Interior Design Firm based in Lagos, is recruiting for the position of an Interior Design Assistant. He/she is required to assist the Lead Interior Designer in the delivery of design projects from start to finish. We are looking for a passionate and creative person to join our growing team designers.

JOB RESPONSIBILES:

1. DESIGN

• Documenting client briefs to ensure that the design team has a clear understanding of what the client is looking for.

• Measurement of existing dimensions in design space on individual projects.

• Producing accurate CAD drawings including elevations, layouts

• Creating space plans & mood boards, sample boards and other presentation material.

• Material sourcing and selection for furniture, lights, decorations and fittings.

• Providing artisans with detailed drawings and descriptions to produce bespoke furniture and fittings            

•  CLIENT SUPPORT

• Meeting attendance and briefing of the Client.

• Client support via email and telephone.

• Follow up with client to ensure design specifications have been met.

• Follow up on individual design projects.

• Liaising with Project Manager throughout the project life cycle to ensure vision is delivered.

• Reporting on project site progress.

• Preparation of work plan for individual projects.

• Preparation of regular (weekly) feedback report on individual projects.

• Management of project themes of cost, quality and time.

• Quality control in all areas of delivery to ensure that project vision is met.

• Assist with management of project in terms of cost, quality and time.

  REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in any Art courses.
• Creativity personified, Ample knowledge of basic interior design principles.
• Minimum of Diploma degree in interior design is required and with relevant experience.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, time, people and project management skills, as well as knowledge of financial and budgetary management.

• Proficiency in the use of design software such as Auto CAD, and relevant software for mood boards.

3D ARCHITECT VACANCY

An Interior Design Firm based in Lagos, is recruiting for the position of a 3D Architect. He/she is required to report directly to the Lead Designer and also maintain a great working relationship with all members of staff, clients and contractors.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for producing architectural working drawings including all details for architectural interior projects. This includes millwork, tile, elevations, plans, sections.

• Maintain/organize project files, schedules, and specifications.

• Site visits and assisting in site supervision.

• Site survey/measures of existing conditions and producing drawings of same.

• Work with the entire team, in-office, and with outside consultants.

• Proficient in time management to facilitate working on multiple projects simultaneously.

JOB SUMMARY

• Participates in the conceptual development for project and oversees its organization, scheduling and implementation. Works with a project team working closely with other professionals in industry. Ensures that the activities concerned with construction projects are effectively planned, coordinated and executed within the time frame and budget.

   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

   ARCHITECTURE

• Articulates clients’ briefs and development of conceptual designs;

• Communicates design ideas through efficient use of design software and clear freehand sketches;

• Develops design concepts in a variety of styles;

• Reviews design to incorporate clients’ comments and changes as requested.

• Develops and draughts general arrangement construction drawings and schedules;

• Provides a timeline for all 3D design projects

• Provides report updates to relevant stakeholders at specified times;

• Develops presentation packages and reports for design proposals.

• Works with team to determine materials to be used for specific requirements for projects;

• Adapts plans according to circumstances and resolving any related problems that may arise during construction;

• Keeps up-to-date on the latest trends in the industry and has a knowledge base to maintain cutting edge skill set;

• Carries out architectural research to improve the quality of projects designed by the organization;

      QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.

• Certification in 3D software and project management.

• At least 2 years post NYSC experience in a similar role.

• High-level proficiency in the use of design software such as 3D Max, Revit, Sketch-Up, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, V-Ray, Flash;

• Extensive 3D illustration skills in Interior designs, Interior Architecture Schemes.

• Proficiency in project management.

• Proficient in architectural Systems and Knowledge.

• Concern for order, quality, and accuracy.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and Adobe editing system.

• Highly motivated and have the ability to work under tight deadlines

• Knowledge of methods and the tools involved in construction.

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft tools including Microsoft Excel, Project and PowerPoint.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• He/ she will be responsible for handling the company's ongoing projects while working closely with artisans and other supervisors to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.
• He/she will oversees different initiatives or projects of a business, monitors their progress and completion, and ensures that they meet the expectations of the clients required by his/her line manager from time to time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinating with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.

• Meeting with artisans and other supervisors to identify and resolve issues.

• Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.

• Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.

• Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.

• Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.

• Managing customer satisfaction within project transition period.

      QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Design, Construction, Engineering or related field

• Possess subject matter expertise in interior design.

• Certification in project management is an added advantage.
