    Stacker / Reclaimer Operator

    Job Summary

    • Operate Stacker/ Reclaimer effectively to ensure timely transportation of limestone and gypsum to the Cement Mills.
    • Ensure efficient stacker/ reclaimer operations to enable adequate quantities of material to be crushed on the designated piles for each product (high-grade limestone, mixed grade, additives, and gypsum).

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist in implementing DCP’s approved production plan.
    • Operate Stacker/ Reclaimer effectively and in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
    • Ensure materials are supplied to the appropriate location in a timely manner.
    • Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure smooth material supply to cement mills.
    • Liaise with Stores to ensure Stacker/ Reclaimer are sufficiently fueled at all times.
    • Liaise with Maintenance to ensure that appropriate maintenance is carried out on Stacker/ Reclaimer when due.

    Requirements
    Education and Work Experience:

    • SSCE with a minimum of ten (10) years’ relevant experience.

    Or

    • Trade Test 2

    Skills and Behaviours:

    • Ability to operate stacker- reclaimers effectively.
    • Good knowledge of Stacker/ Reclaimer parts and their functions.
    • Good interpersonal skills.

    Payloader Operator

    Description

    • Vacancy exist for a Payloader Operator with the skills and competence to operate machinery and equipment according to instructions in a safe and effective manner.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Operate all payloaders in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
    • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks of machinery.
    • Conduct pre-operational checks on excavator and clean, lubricate and refill equipment as scheduled and/or required.
    • Ensure all excavator is safely and securely stored.
    • Participate in routine maintenance of Payloader Machinery.
    • Recommend any requirements for maintenance or repairs to the Shift Coordinator.
    • Practice workplace safety.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Shift Engineer from time to time.

    Requirements

    • A Trade Test or its equivalent in a relevant discipline.
    • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the operation of payloaderp.

    Deputy Head of Finance

    Job Summary

    • Oversee the plant’s budgeting and reporting; financial analysis and forecasting; cost and revenue management; and fixed asset accounting.
    • Ensure accuracy of the plant’s financial records and compliance with best practice financial management principles and regulatory requirements.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Drive the implementation of approved finance policies at the plant.
    • Drive and oversee the budgeting process and ensure inputs from all business units within the plant are in compliance with stated guidelines and that exceptions are escalated appropriately.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of periodic management reports at the Plant to aid management decision-making.
    • Ensure ongoing review, update and documentation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial forecasts, and ratio analysis.
    • Ensure collaboration/interface with other departments within the plant on financial assessment of projects, business models and business plans.
    • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with DCP Nigeria’s accounting policies, and IFRS.
    • Assume overall responsibility for the integration of business reporting requirements, the integrity of information contained in and the compliance of the plant’s financial report with relevant reporting regulations.
    • Ensure effective utilisation of plant’s financial resources to achieve cost efficiency.
    • Proactively identify risks, and define and implement strategies to prevent revenue leakage.
    • Ensure that organisational policies with respect to accounting for fixed assets are adhered to at all times.
    • Ensure respective plant complies with all applicable tax laws and statutory requirements.
    • Manage and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including local and international tax authorities, tax consultants, etc.
    • Coordinate the preparation of the department’s budget and approve departmental in line with approved authority limits.
    • Provide overall guidance, leadership support and strategic direction in the execution of the department’s functions and activities.
    • Prepare and submit periodic activity/management reports to the Head of Finance on the activities of the department.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Finance.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related discipline.
    • Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, CIMA, CPA, ACCA.
    • Minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience.
    • Skills and Competencies
    • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
    • Advanced financial and accounting knowledge, including understanding of finance best practices and IFRS/ international accounting and financial reporting standards.
    • Proven experience in strategic financial planning and analysis.
    • Very sound business acumen – financial and commercial knowledge.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.

    Sustainability Analyst

    Location: Obajana, Kogi
    Department: DCP - Sustainability

    Job Summary

    • The role is focused on monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting the sustainability performance of the cement plant operations.
    • It tracks industry developments, assessing sustainability implications for the plant.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Monitor and track the plant's environmental, social, economic and governance (ESG) impact to avert risk exposures.
    • Support the plant and mine in implementing Extended Producer Responsibility (EPRP) plans.
    • Coordinate data collection and collation for all ESG and related reporting requirements of the plant, ensuring data integrity and validity.
    • Collaborate with relevant functions to resolve ESG incidents or complaints received from stakeholders.
    • Train company staff, vendors and other stakeholders on relevant sustainability issues and standards.
    • Analyze emerging ESG issues and work collaboratively with operations and leadership to provide a plan of action.
    • Design and implement circular economy and other sustainability programs to improve sustainability performance of the Plant.
    • Analyse developments of energy demand, taking into consideration environment, alternative fuel substitution and the impact on the energy supply mix.
    • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the relevant superiors as pertain to his / her background, qualifications and position.

    Requirements
    Education and Work Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Economics, Energy management, Environmental Science, relevant Engineering discipline. Master’s Degree in related courses such as Sustainable Development would be an advantage.
    • 6 to 9 years job experience in Sustainability, Environmental & Social Risk Management, Renewable Energy, Consulting in related fields.
    • 2 years working knowledge of Sustainability Reporting using GRI or related global reporting standards such as ISO-26000 (Social Responsibility), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System)
    • Other related professional experiences.
