    Logistics Manager

    Job aim:

    As a Logistic Manager at TradeDepot, you will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end logistics and fleet operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods from DC to our network of SME retailers. Your primary focus will be on vehicle sourcing, fleet optimization, and overall transportation management to meet the growing demands of our business.

     Responsibilities:

    • ·Vehicle Sourcing: Collaborate with suppliers, dealerships, and leasing companies to identify, evaluate, and negotiate vehicle procurement agreements that align with the company's budget and operational needs.
    • Fleet Optimization: Develop strategies to optimize the fleet size, distribution routes, and vehicle utilization to achieve cost-efficiency and timely deliveries.
    • Transportation Management: Oversee the day-to-day transportation operations, including route planning, scheduling, and monitoring, to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to retailers.
    • Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and vehicle suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality services.
    • Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinate maintenance and repair schedules for the fleet to minimize downtime and ensure vehicles are in excellent condition for operations.
    • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including licensing, permits, insurance, and safety standards, and implement safety protocols to protect drivers, vehicles, and cargo.
    • Cost Management: Monitor and manage transportation and fleet-related expenses, analyze cost data, and identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives.
    • Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics to track performance metrics, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize the fleet and logistics operations.
    • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of drivers, mechanics, and logistics staff, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the logistics and fleet management functions and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Masters degree is an added advantage.
    • Proven experience as a Head of Logistics Operations or a senior leadership role in FMCG retail distribution.
    • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics best practices, and distribution networks in the FMCG sector.
    • Demonstrated ability to optimise logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency.
    • Strong negotiation abilities to secure favourable terms with vendors, carriers, and other partners.
    • Capacity to identify and address logistics challenges, such as delays, disruptions, and bottlenecks, with creative and practical solutions.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in logistics management software, advanced analytics, and Google workspace tools.
    • Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
    • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service to retail outlets and other categories of customers.

    Sales Manager

    Job aim:

    We are seeking a highly analytical and hands-on Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, be proficient in utilizing analytical tools, and possess exceptional leadership skills. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing in-store consumer-focused incentives, managing the restocking of store shelves through a dedicated sales representative, and overseeing the overall performance of the sales team.

    Responsibilities:

    Sales Management (30%)          

    • Supervise and coach a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
    • Set sales targets and objectives for the team, monitor progress, and implement corrective measures when necessary.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, recognize top performers, and identify areas for improvement.
    • Manage the productivity and cost optimization cross team.
    • Monitor market execution of all initiatives through frequent market visits.
    • Develop and implement a trade coverage plan, along with other related commercial activities to deliver on targets.
    • Deploy the necessary infrastructure and process to deliver brand and trade programs to meet the requirements. This will be based on market research / survey carried out jointly.

     Analytical Expertise (30%)         

    • Utilize analytical tools and data to identify sales trends, market opportunities, and customer behavior patterns.
    • Conduct comprehensive sales analysis, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights to optimize sales strategies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven sales plans and strategies.

    In-Store Consumer-Focused Incentive (15%)      

    • Work closely with the brand team to develop creative and effective consumer incentives to drive product depletion and increase sales.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to design promotions, discounts, loyalty programs, and other incentives tailored to target customer segments.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of incentives, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.

    Store Shelf Restocking (15%)    

    • Manage dedicated sales representatives assigned to each store to ensure timely restocking of shelves.
    • Establish clear communication channels and provide guidance to sales representatives on inventory management, replenishment schedules, and product placement.
    • Monitor stock levels, track inventory movement, and optimize restocking processes to minimize out-of-stock situations and maximize sales opportunities.

    Relationship Building (10%)

    • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including store managers and retail partners.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective coordination and alignment of sales strategies and initiatives.
    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to stay updated on market trends and forge new business opportunities.

    Qualifications   

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
    • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
    • Proficiency in utilizing analytical tools and software for sales analysis (e.g., CRM systems, Excel, data visualization tools).
    • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective consumer incentives.
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong drive for achieving sales targets and objectives.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
