    Account Officer

    JOB SUMMARY

    This role is responsible for supporting and managing various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Calculation of VAT, PAYE, WHT, Pension and other taxable according to Nigeria law.
    2. Ensure effectiveness of Account payable process which includes checking of documents, cost, approvals and payments.
    3. To liaise with customers, vendors, bankers, consultants, FIRS/LIRS or other government officials for data and other matters.
    4. Responding to requests for information and resolving issues swiftly.
    5. Answering client queries on invoicing and visiting clients when required.
    6. Following up with payments and bill submission.
    7. Provide necessary documentation and support during internal audits.
    8. Maintain organized records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transaction.
    9. Verify, allocate, post and reconcile.
    10. Manage invoices and ensure that payments are made according to the company policies.
    11. Experience in vendor management.
    12. And any other responsibility delegated by the manager

    EDUCATION QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    1. HND/BSC and other certifications and training 

    SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    1. Proficient in MS suit, goggle suite and other accounting software.
    2. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
    3. Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
    4. Tech enthusiast. 
    5. Ability to create great working relationships with all levels within the company and across multiple disciplines.

    Head of Finance and Account

    JOB SUMMARY 

    Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Finance and Account to lead our financial operations for an e-commerce and manufacturing company. This role combines financial strategy, operational excellence, and leadership to drive profitability and scalability. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and compliance, while working closely with cross-functional teams to support business growth.

    RESPONSIBILITY

    Strategic Financial Leadership

    1. Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
    2. Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO and leadership team on financial performance and growth opportunities.
    3. Drive cost optimization and efficiency across e-commerce and manufacturing operations.

    Financial Planning and Analysis

    1. Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
    2. Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
    3. Prepare comprehensive financial reports for stakeholders, including the board of directors.

    Accounting and Compliance

    1. Oversee accounting functions to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
    2. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings.
    3. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

    Cash Flow and Capital Management

    1. Manage company cash flow to ensure financial stability.
    2. Develop capital investment strategies to support growth in manufacturing and e-commerce operations.
    3. Build and maintain relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.

    Team Leadership

    1. Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance team.
    2. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

     

    EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.
    2. 8+ years of experience in finance leadership, preferably in e-commerce and/or manufacturing sectors.
    3. Must be ICAN certified.

    SKILLS AND COMPETENCY

    1. Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
    2. Proven track record in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.
    3. Work experience in a manufacturing environment 
    4. Investment management
    5. Fund raising
    6. Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools and software.
    7. Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
    8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
