    Production Superintendent

    Position Summary:

    • We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Production Superintendent to oversee daily manufacturing operations in our plastic production facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blow molding, injection molding, and molding machine operations, with a proven ability to lead teams, optimize processes, and maintain high levels of productivity and product quality.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage all production activities across multiple shifts to ensure efficient and safe operation of blow molding, injection molding, and mold machines.
    • Supervise, train, and evaluate production teams, including shift supervisors, machine operators, and support staff.
    • Monitor production schedules, machine performance, and labor utilization to meet output, quality, and delivery goals.
    • Ensure all equipment and processes comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
    • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure machinery is properly maintained and downtime is minimized.
    • Analyze production data and implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase yield, and optimize cycle times.
    • Collaborate with Quality Control, Engineering, and Supply Chain to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Review and ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and production documentation.
    • Manage raw material usage and monitor inventory levels to support uninterrupted production.
    • Lead or support root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement among the production team.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
    • 7+ years of experience in plastic manufacturing, specifically with blow molding, injection molding, and other plastic processing techniques.
    • Solid understanding of molding machine operation, maintenance basics, and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and OEE performance metrics.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and production data.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP/MES systems is preferred.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Working knowledge of safety and environmental compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
    • Experience implementing automation or process control improvements in molding operations.

    Quality Control Superintendent

    Position Summary:

    • We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Superintendent to oversee the quality assurance and control processes in our plastic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in polymer and plastic production, including extrusion, injection molding, thermoforming, or blow molding, and a deep understanding of quality systems, regulatory standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the Quality Control team across all shifts, ensuring compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures and test methods for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
    • Ensure that all quality systems align with ISO 9001, FDA, or other applicable industry standards.
    • Oversee internal and external audit processes, including corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs.
    • Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and statistical process control (SPC) data.
    • Interface with production, engineering, R&D, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
    • Manage customer complaints and work closely with clients to ensure product specifications are met.
    • Train and mentor QC inspectors and technicians to maintain high performance and continuous improvement culture.
    • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities using tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA.
    • Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to enhance product quality and reduce waste.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field. Master\'s degree is a plus.
    • 5+ years of quality control experience in a plastic manufacturing environment.
    • Proven knowledge of plastic processing techniques (e.g., extrusion, molding).
    • Solid understanding of ISO 9001, GMP, and regulatory compliance standards.
    • Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional QC teams.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in quality management tools and statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, SPC tools).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), CQA (Certified Quality Auditor), or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
    • Experience with ERP systems and MES software in a manufacturing environment.
    • Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices in plastics.
