    Experienced Female Teacher (Key Stage 1)

    FEMALE EARLY YEARS EDUCATOR

    QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Managing day-to-day activities of the school
    • Supervising and managing all day-to-day office administrative activities - Undertaking general administrative support including reception duties, acting as first point of contact in response to visitors to our school, responding to queries and enquiries as well as conducting tours of our facilities and marketing of school programs
    • First point of contact for absent pupils and staff;  liaising with parents  and staff; updating information on staff and pupils attendance – submitting monthly reports to senior management
    • Monitoring entry systems to the reception area and the main school building as well as coordinating drop-offs and pick-ups of children
    • Providing administrative support for examinations and attendance including data inputting and production of reports
    • Providing general office administrative support e.g. photocopying, laminating, scanning, filing, emailing, completion of routine forms and liaising with vendors/contractors
    • Updating inventory documents and assets list of the school
    • Sharing information broadly and timely with students’ families through emails,  flyers,  newsletters or phone calls, ensuring that necessary information is properly transmitted
    • Maintaining records of school operations, such as processing of registration forms, dealing with admissions paperwork., Ensuring class schedules and children’s records are kept updated including emergency contacts, medical forms and other relevant information
    • Organizing and coordinating parents consultation meetings and special functions/social events in collaboration with the  teaching staff
    • Facilitating communication between  parents for the purpose of evaluating situations, solving problems and/or resolving conflicts whilst liaising with senior management
    • Contributing to personnel administration, such as, recruitment, selection, health screening, referencing, conducting orientation/induction etc. of teaching and non-teaching staff
    • Working actively with teachers to maintain high curriculum standards
    • Undertaking general financial administration and managing of school supplies, inventories and store stocks efficiently; including classroom resources and supplies
    • Liaising  with  parents  and  external agencies  on  behalf  of  senior  management
    • Assisting in developing,  reviewing, and improving policies, systems, and procedures, and generally ensuring the school operates smoothly and efficiently

    Part-Time ICT and Computing teacher

    This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced teacher to join our school. The ideal candidate is expected to work with children within the range of 4 – 11 years, using the British Curriculum.

     SKILLS, QUALIFIFCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • First degree in Computer Science with professional certification in ICT related courses
    • Must have minimum 4 years proven teaching experience at primary level teaching ICT and Computing across the age range
    • Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the British Curriculum

    • Excellent computer hardware and software skills

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for ICT and Computing to students aged 4- 11
    • To develop teaching resources and teaching strategies which capture pupils’ interest and maintain their engagement in the curriculum area
    • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students
    • Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils
    • Lead through example, providing a successful role model of good practice in the Computing Curriculum
    • Identify and disseminate effective ways of teaching using IT including the use of software and hardware so that teachers are up skilled not deskilled by working alongside a specialist teacher
    • Ensure continuity and progression in the Computing Curriculum by supporting colleagues and choosing the appropriate sequence of teaching and learning activities; setting clear learning objectives
    • Ensure that relevant attainment/achievement targets are met
    • Ensure that key computing skills are developed throughout the school
    • Set high academic standards for every student in the class while still adapting to the individual needs of each child.
    • Evaluating students’ class work and assignments; recording and maintain accurate student records
    • Maintaining discipline in the classroom as well as creating a vibrant teaching atmosphere.
    • Track and report performance data to determine where changes need to be made and which strategies and methods are working
    • Be the school’s ICT Safety coordinator, including all aspects of e-safety
