    Prep Production Associate (Prep Demi Chef De Partie)

    Responsibilities

    • As a Prep Production Associate, you are responsible for ensuring smooth prep production, consistent quality and accurate quantities of prepped produce daily, and productive team management. Your role will include key responsibilities such as:
    • Coordinate daily food production activities; specifically prep unit activities to ensure timely, quality, and 100% compete prep for cook production
    • Supervise and enforce meal preparation according to the recipe/menu specifications , and defined by the Production Manager (Head Chef) and Assistant Production Managers (Sous chefs). 
    • Provide support on  prep activities on specific stations as required. 
    • Collaborate with cleaners to keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to standard hygiene practices
    • Manage and submit effective prep requisition for ingredients needed for daily prep production to the inventory unit. 
    • Receive deliveries from the inventory unit and verify that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality (as required); effective and timely follow up on pending items as required 
    • Actively drive collaboration and collaborative workflow between prep and relevant units; ensure all processes are complied with, and SLAs (service level agreements) are maintained. 
    • Directly influence cost control around prep activities; understand any channels for high waste and execute initiatives to close gaps, actively track and report on prep productivity metrics. 
    • Identify gaps in the prep unit and design initiatives to effectively address and close gaps within the shortest possible time. 
    • Enforce all prep processes and recommend/execute new processes as required to ensure productivity on the prep unit, assure expected quality and quantity of daily prep is maintained. 
    • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a smooth and friendly work environment
    • Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation of meal ingredients are strictly monitored
    • Be up to date and conversant with meal preparation techniques, in the food industry, and as used in the Eden Food Production Facility. Research required 
    • Responsible for prep, human resource planning and management; shift and station assignments, managing employees effectively through training, workshops, 1:1, and relevant team meetings  

    Requirements

    • Level 1 Food Safety Certificates
    • At least 1 year experience in the food industry as a Commis Chef; Demi Chef De Partie is a plus (must have prep experience) in a professional kitchen; large scale catering is a plus! 
    • Basic Google Sheet & Docs proficiency skills
    • High attention to detail, and timely escalation to appropriate persons (intentionality)
    • Effective organizational & effective management skill
    • Creative and innovative mindset
    • Basic knowledge of machine/equipment usage and application
    • A culinary school diploma or certificate is a major advantage!

    Laundry Assistant

    The Role

    • We are looking for a Laundry Assistant to own the receiving, documentation, and tracking of our customers' laundry from pick-up to dispatch.
    • If you have an eye for spotting stains and damages, fully understand how to load and run washing machines, are willing to follow instructions in folding clothes to the company standards, and know how to use the right soaps and chemicals to get the job done, then you are who we are looking for.

    Responsibilities

    • Reporting to the Laundry Operations Supervisor, you will:
    • Receive laundry bags from the Pickup team.
    • Check garments for stains, rips, slits, or damages, document and dispatch to service partners.
    • Document laundry bag according to specified customer requirements and service type
    • Generate invoice/tally for customer’s laundry and dry cleaning service, flag and charge for extra item(s).
    • Aid in sorting laundry and close of day order reconciliation.
    • Ensure broken zippers, missing buttons are flagged and fixed.
    • Coordinate with the washroom area to ensure adequate garment handover.
    • Ensure quality checks are carried out for all garments and report any damages or discrepancy to the Laundry Supervisor.
    • Provide relevant Garment collection data, compile/complete daily reports on material usage and supplies, etc.
    • File daily work reports and seek Supervisor’s sign-off.
    • Attend Team’s training; meetings as when directed by the line manager.
    • Report health or safety hazards to the Laundry Supervisor.
    • Contribute to Quality Control and Packing tasks.
    • Load and operate washing machines and dryers.
    • Sort and inspect laundry items for stains, damage, or special instructions.
    • Use appropriate detergents, chemicals, and laundry procedures to clean and sanitize laundry items.
    • Fold clothing and linens neatly and according to company standards.

    • Assist with data management and managing expectations with stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of Secondary School Education (WASSCE).
    • Relevant experience in garment collection and marking in a Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Company.
    • Knowledge of proper use of counter aid. Identification tags: instruction tape and clips.
    • Knowledge of proper finishing and hanging of customer clothing and special garments.
    • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with fellow team members.
    • Ability to sort, vet and flag garments with unusual stains, damage; alteration and restoration needs.

    • Support inventory control activities; properly count and weigh all ingredients in the storage.
      • Ensure store rooms and chillers are properly organized

    • Collaborate with team members to support cleaning on scheduled deep cleaning days - (Clearing of refrigerators, freezers, and pantries)

    Inventory Assistant

    Responsibilities

    • Sort, organise and store received inventories.
    • Responsible for issuing out inventories requested for daily production to production units.
    • Ensure pantries and work areas are organised orderly at all times.
    • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security (ensure that stock such as consumables and non-consumables are store safely).
    • Review and identify redundant/disposable inventory and share list with inventory manager.
    • Ensure proper pantry categorisation and lay-out to prompt quick retrieval of inventories & maximise efficiency.
    • Assist the inventory associate in preparing top-up procurement list.
    • Responsible for conducting daily inventory count to verify system inventory against physical inventory.

    • Other responsibilities as assigned by inventory manager.
