    Principal Innventory Officer

    Location: Gboko Plant, Gboko Plant

    Company: Dangote Industries Limited

    Job Summary

    • Coordinate and implement SAP MM modules for Inventory Management in the plant.
    • Follow up Material Requirement planning for Spares & Production Consumables
    • Monitor Stock level and oversees the activities at the stock keeping units (SKU)

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • SAP core team lead for the plant on material master data creation/Inventory issues.
    • Monitor all inventory transactions in SAP and ensure accurate record keeping.
    • Carry out valuation of stock after each count & identify obsolete items, list out stock to be written off.
    • Liaise with user departments to reconcile records especially on critical /insurance     parts.
    • Monitor and analyse inventory performance including turnover rates, stock level and obsolete or excess inventory.
    • Provide information on current stock and order to provide justification for reordering.
    • Monitor trend of product receipt and dispatch at the store to provides basis for demand forecasting Perform any other duty that be assigned
    • Establish and maintain effective inventory control systems including the use of SAP and data analysis

    Key Requirements

    Education and Work Experience:

    • BSc/HND Business Administration/SCM/Engineering/Accounting/Professional membership is an added advantage & 10years’ experience in Manufacturing Industry

    Skills and Competencies

    • Proven working experience as senior Inventory Officer.
    • Excellent knowledge of ERP- SAP MM module & Microsoft Excel.
    • A very good team player.
    •  In-depth knowledge of material management & stock handling.

    Job Summary

    Join Dangote Cement Plc as the Sectional Head of the Packing Plant Operations, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and performance of the cement packing process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to packing operations, including optimizing processes to enhance production capacity and quality. 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage and supervise the operations of the packing plant to ensure maximum productivity and adherence to quality standards.
    • Develop and implement efficient packing processes and procedures, aimed at minimizing downtime and maximizing throughput.
    • Oversee the implementation of approved packing plant plan at the plant to ensure established targets are met.
    • Ensure that packing plant processes are implemented in line with agreed upon procedures and guidelines.
    • Ensure clearance is received from the Head, Production and Head, Quality Control & Assurance before commencement of packing and loading of cement.
    • Supervise the management of packing plant shift teams to ensure effective and efficient execution of packing plant activities and achievement of daily production targets.
    • Ensure that all maintenance packing plant activities are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner.
    • Support to oversee the activities of all packing plant machine operators to ensure safety of personnel and appropriate utilization of machines.
    • Ensure all issues at the packing plant are resolved immediately to ensure timely dispatch of cement and prevent damage/loss.
    • Ensure packing plant environment is clean and tidy at all times.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to subordinates.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Packing Plant.

    Requirements

    Educational Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within a packing plant environment, preferably in the cement industry.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of packing operations and equipment.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in using software applications related to production and inventory management.

    Stores Attendant

    Department: Stores
    Reports To: Stores Supervisor / Head of Stores

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily store activities including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
    • Ensure adherence to company procedures for inventory handling and documentation.
    • Monitor compliance with safety and housekeeping standards in the store area.
    • Coordinate the receipt of incoming goods and dispatch of materials to various departments.
    • Verify delivery notes, invoices, and stock requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
    • Liaise with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely movement of goods.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock levels using manual and digital systems.
    • Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Implement stock rotation practices to minimize obsolescence and ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out).
    • Ensure all items are properly labeled and stored in designated locations.
    • Maintain a clean and organized store layout for easy access and identification.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock movements and balances.
    • Report shortages, damages, or irregularities to the Stores Supervisor promptly.
    • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation for compliance checks.
    • Guide junior store attendants and support staff in performing their duties.
    • Share best practices and assist in onboarding new team members.

    Requirement

    • WAEC/GCE/SSCE or OND in Purchasing & Supply or related discipline.
    • Minimum of 10 - 20 years’ post-qualification experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or logistics within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Excel.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Physical stamina for lifting and moving materials.
