Monitor and control the plant processes through computer and manual controls,
Operate refining neutralisation, bleaching and deodorisation production process.
Responsible for operating several process steps and has equipment for vacuum, pressure, distillation, heat exchanger, filtration and Centrifuge separation subject to process requirement and product quality.
Utilise a computerised system to control most processes.
Ensure proper line-up for unit production
Safely collect samples to identify product quality issues proactively.
Effectively communicate field conditions to appropriate personnel.
Operate refinery process in a safe, efficient manner. Troubleshoot equipment and product to meet plant production standards.
Ensure the plant is run on its rated production capacity on minimum losses and requires quality parameters.

Qualifications
S.S.C.E / ND or Degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering
2 - 4 years’ experience as a refinery operator.
Additional Information
Knowledge of By-product processing like Acid oil and Lecithin
Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests
Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements
Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
Submit reports on performance and progress
Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures

Qualifications
Degree in Food Science / Engineering or Applied Sciences is required
5+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations
2+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
Knowledge of PLC operation is paramount.
