    Business Development Officer

    JOB SUMMARY

    • The Business Development Officer will identify and secure new business opportunities, expand the customer base, strengthen client relationships, and drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships across the education and publishing ecosystem.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Business Development & Sales

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
    • Prospect and acquire retail, wholesale, institutional, and corporate clients.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet assigned revenue targets.
    • Generate leads through networking, referrals, events, and direct outreach.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.

    Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics, or related field.
    • Minimum 2–4 years' experience in Business Development, Sales, or Key Account Management.
    • Experience in publishing, education, retail distribution, or FMCG is an added advantage.

    • Sales strategy development, negotiation, and closing skills.
    • Customer relationship management (CRM) and market research.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal writing skills.

    Executive Assistant

    JOB SUMMARY

    • The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the CEO / Managing Director, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the executive office.
    • This role demands exceptional organizational ability, discretion, and a proactive approach to managing priorities in a fast-paced business environment.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Executive Support

    • Manage the CEO's calendar, scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements with precision.
    • Prepare and review correspondence, reports, presentations, and briefing materials on behalf of the CEO.
    • Act as the first point of contact for the CEO's office — screening calls, emails, and visitors.
    • Coordinate board meetings, management meetings, and executive retreats including agenda preparation and minute-taking.
    • Follow up on action items and decisions emanating from executive meetings.

    Administrative & Office Coordination

    • Manage travel logistics including flight bookings, hotel reservations, and itinerary planning for local and international trips.

    • Handle procurement of office supplies and manage expenses related to the executive office.

    Strategic & Project Support

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, Mass Communication, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Executive Assistant or Senior Personal Assistant, preferably supporting C-suite executives.
    • Proven track record of managing complex schedules, multiple priorities, and confidential information.
    • Experience in publishing, education, retail, or a related industry is an advantage.

    Head Retail Sales

    JOB SUMMARY

    • The Head, Retail & Social Media will lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail store while managing the company's social media presence to drive brand visibility, customer engagement, and sales.
    • This role combines hands-on retail leadership with digital content strategy, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand experience both in-store and online.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Retail Operations

    • Coordinate promotions, product launches and in store campaign
    • Monitor market trends and competitors activities
    • Develop action plan to improve underperforming products
    • Oversee and manage daily operations at the retail store to ensure efficiency and excellent customer experience.
    • Develop and implement retail strategies to grow in-store sales, foot traffic, and customer loyalty.
    • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment, and liaise with the distribution team to ensure product availability.
    • Set and track retail sales targets; analyze performance data and implement corrective actions where needed.
    • Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise retail staff to maintain a high-performing store team.

    Social Media & Digital Engagement

    • Develop and execute a social media content calendar across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn, Tik-tok and whatsapp channel.
    • Create and curate engaging content — posts, reels, stories, and promotions — that reflects the organistion’s brand voice.
    • Grow the company's social media following and increase engagement through targeted campaigns and community management.
    • Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and audience insights to inform content strategy.
    • Coordinate with the marketing team to align online campaigns with in-store promotions and product launches.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and feedback on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.

    Reporting & Collaboration

    • Prepare regular reports on retail sales performance, social media metrics, and campaign outcomes for the Head of Marketing.
    • Collaborate with the procurement and sales teams to support market expansion initiatives.
    • Identify opportunities to improve the retail customer journey and digital touch points.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in retail management, with exposure to social media marketing.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage retail teams and drive sales performance.
    • Hands-on experience managing brand social media accounts with measurable results.
    • Experience in publishing, books, education, or consumer goods retail is an added advantage.

    REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

    • Proficiency in social media platforms, content creation tools, and basic analytics (Meta Insights, Google Analytics, etc.).
