    Account Officer

    Purpose of the job  

    • The Account Officer will develop and implement the financial management system for the PDX project.
    • The officer will operate an effective and efficient planning and control cycle, design and maintain the financial and administrative workflows and implement internal control procedures.
    • The officer will implement and maintain relevant IT applications, and will keep accurate, complete, and up-to-date office records for KNCV Nigeria.

    Duties and Responsibilities   

    • Check and assign codes to all financial documents.
    • Enter all financial documents into the accounting system.
    • Ensure that all project incurred expenses are timely paid, documented and filed.
    • Implement annual audit process and related activities. • Maintain an inventory list of all KNCV Nigeria Assets
    • Maintain the petty cash accounts.

    Develop and maintains an effective professional relationship with KNCV’s Nigeria local banking institutions.

    Ensure adherence to all major financial rules and regulations which are described in the KNCV Finance Manual and other appropriate policies. Perform other additional duties as assigned.

    Who are we looking for?  

    Education: 

    • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance and or Business Management)
    • Master’s degree will be an added advantage.

    Knowledge/experience:  

    • 3 – 4 years of experience in finance management, accounting and working in a project setting
    • Demonstrable experience with accounting and financial reporting in GF/USG supported projects.
    • Knowledge of relevant accounting software systems
    • Excellent Excel skills
    • Proficiency in the use of computer application (Microsoft office etc.)
    • Excellent written and verbal English language skills

    Programme / Administrative Assistant

    Purpose of the job  

    • The Program/Administrative Assistant is responsible for all administrative activities. The assistant will support the administrative department in all functions as directed.

    Duties and Responsibilities of the Program/Admin Assistant:  

    • Taking of minutes of meeting 
    • Contacting vendor for procurement processes
    • Taking stock of project supplies
    • Regularly update inventory list
    • Booking of flight tickets
    • Making hotel reservations etc.
    • Preparation of procurement documents
    • Regular update of procurement list
    • Handle all deliveries and dispatch; verify deliveries and signoff; ensure distribution plan, delivery vouchers are properly documented.
    • Assist in preparation for meetings, Printing of Agenda, following up attendance sheets etc.

    Who are we looking for?  

    • Bachelor’s degree (Business Management, Psychology, HR, Public Administration)

    M&E Officer

    Purpose of the job  

    • The M&E Officer will work with the PDX ACF Coordinator to ensure a seamless harmonization of all M&E activities. Ensure implementation of the M&E plan for the PDX ACF Project, including monitoring progress against planned activities, critical milestones and targets as well as providing support and guidance to program counterparts to ensure that the data collection, data management and reporting, are of the highest possible quality. 

    Duties and Responsibilities:  

    • Ensure timely and complete reporting of Project activities.
    • Adapt & implement tools & techniques to improve quality and use of data.
    • Contribute to employing a rigorous monitoring and evaluation system to track the progress of Project activities and outputs, including a strong focus on documenting lessons learned and best practices in monitoring and evaluation.
    • Provide support and capacity building to site level staff for data collection, collation, and analysis.
    • Participate in data management activities for rapid assessments, situational analysis, surveys, evaluations, and operations research as required.
    • Assist in monitoring and evaluating progress towards annual work plans, expected outputs, including selecting and monitoring progress in meeting indicators.
    • Support monitoring and evaluation and knowledge management activities across project sites.
    • Perform routine data quality assessment (DQA) and implement quality improvement mechanisms to ensure data quality.
    • Ensure timely data collection, compilation and reporting according to project M&E plan.
    • Perform other additional duties as assigned.

    Who are we looking for?  

    Education

    • BA/BSc/HND, /MSc/MA 
    • A master’s degree in statistics or public health will be an additional advantage. 

    Knowledge/experience:  

    • At least 3-4 years of experience in M & E in public health projects
    • Experience in working in the fields of TB/HIV, Community TB, and MDR TB, with extensive field experience in Nigeria.
    • Proficiency in statistical analysis and use of computer
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, approachable and good listener

    Radiation Safety Officer

    Purpose of the job  

    • The radiation safety officer will support the roll-out of the PDX ACF project and ensure that all radiation regulatory and safety requirements are met.
    • The safety officer will serve as a point of contact between the organization and nuclear regulatory agency.
    • Will be responsible for ensuring that dosimeters are utilized on all PDX platforms and ensure timely readings of the dosimeters based on the nuclear regulations.
    • The officer will provide field support to the PDX teams across all states in the country to ensure appropriate maintenance of all PDX units. 

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Will serve as a point of contact between KNCV Nigeria, National TB Leprosy and Buruli Ulcer Control program and the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Agency and ensure that all regulatory requirements for the utilization of each PDX platform is met and Plan annual NNRA inspection and licensing of all PDX.
    • Ensure registration of all PDX platform with the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Agency, as well as annual renewals of this registration.
    • Support the packaging, transportation, set up and utilization of all PDX platforms across the country. 
    • Will enforce proper utilization of the PDX platforms and will ensure that daily/weekly/monthly and yearly maintenance of the platforms are carried out where indicated.
    • Will support license renewals for the PDX platforms.
    • Keep maintenance log and fault tracking of all the PDX equipment. 
    • Liaise with the PDX manufacturer to repair/replace faulty platforms where indicated.
    • Will be responsible for ensuring that dosimeters are utilized on all PDX platforms and ensure timely readings of the dosimeters based on the nuclear regulations. 
    • In collaboration with the Project coordinator, support the design, implementation, and monitoring of the PDC ACF Project.
    • Submit monthly/quarterly state progress reports to the PDX ACF Coordinator.

    Who are we looking for?  

    Education: 

    • BSc Radiography/MSc/PHD 
    • A master’s degree in public health will be an additional advantage. 

    Knowledge/experience:  

    • Experience in the deployment of Digital Xray’s in resource limited settings.
    • Knowledge of and familiarity with key TB/HIV innovations and other strategic initiatives with focus on surveillance and/or monitoring.
    • Experience of Global Fund/USAID policies, regulations, and procedures desirable.
    • Exhibits a high level of accuracy in work, and ability to analyse complex sets of relationships and situations.
    • Have a high sense of integrity and transparency.
    • Ability to manage official information in a confidential manner.

    PDX ACF Coordinator

    Purpose of the job: 

    • The Portable Digital Xray (PDX) Active TB Case Finding (ACF) Project Coordinator will support the design, implementation, and monitoring of the PDX ACF Project across all states of the Federation + FCT.
    • The coordinator will support the engagements with state governments and ministries of health and ensure the successful implementation of the grant across Nigeria.
    • The project coordinator will also oversee the day-to-day implementation of the Global fund PDX ACF grant across the country.
    • The Project coordinator will design a functional M&E system for the project in line with the National TB and leprosy Control program data management system.

    Duties and Responsibilitie: 

    • Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of the PDC ACF Project across all states of the Federation + FCT.
    • Engage with state governments and Ministries of health to ensure ownership and sustainability of the PDX ACF project.
    • Oversee the implementation of all components of the Global Fund PDX grant across all states of the Federation.
    • Design and implement a functional monitoring and evaluation system for the project in line with the National TB and Leprosy Control Program Data Management System.
    • Facilitate the engagement of relevant stakeholders in for the success of the project.
    • Organize & conduct regular data-driven health facility supervision to ensure quality TB, TB/HIV, DR-TB surveillance, and service delivery.
    • Provide regular technical support and supervision to field personnel, including State TB programs and field personnel.
    • Support the development of program strategies, subproject documents, work plans and budgets and ensure key performance indicators are met in line with the grant objectives.
    • Contribute to development of lessons learned from programs and projects related to TB and TB/HIV program interventions and apply these lessons to modify existing program and improve the design of new programs.
    • Represent KNCV with donors and government officials on issues of Global Fund PDX grant.
    • Assist in strengthening a system of reporting on program progress against stated objectives and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
    • Assist in the data collection, collation, validation and reporting according to KNCV GF M&E plan.
    • Submit weekly/monthly/quarterly progress reports to the National TB and leprosy Control Program

    Who are we looking for?  

    Education: 

    • MBBS/MSc/PHD  
    • A master’s degree in public health will be an additional advantage. 

    Knowledge/experience:  

    • Minimum Seven (7) years’ experience in TB/HIV program implementation in a resource challenged setting.
    • Demonstrated experience with public health disease programs and/or surveillance strengthening in developing countries (including national TB control programs and/or other infectious disease control) is highly desirable.
    • Experience in the deployment of Digital Xray’s for TB control in resource limited settings.
    • Knowledge of and familiarity with key TB/HIV innovations and other strategic initiatives with focus on surveillance and/or monitoring.
    • Experience of Global Fund/USAID policies, regulations, and procedures desirable.
