    Receptionist (Male)

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide the Highest Standard of Service to Guests
    • Arranges fulfillment of customer services by working with Bell staff, Housekeeping, Reservations and Room Service
    • Stays current with developments in the hotel by reviewing the communication log book each shift; updates log book for next shift
    • Follows-up and verifies arrivals by updating registration cards in regards to spelling of guest’s name, address and method of payment
    • Handles incoming guest room reservations
    • Uses the ABC approach to respond to negative comments and complaints; and notifies Service Manager immediately for appropriate follow-up
    • Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, and effectively assists the hotel’s guests
    • Communicates open and closed dates, availability and condition of rooms to the Service Manager
    • Adheres to hotel policies regarding the use of cash banks
    • Completes shift closing accurately by getting appropriate approval signatures and authorisation codes
    • Identifies and records special billing instructions and notifies accounting and Service Manager
    • Monitors customer accounts to insure adherence to hotel credit limits by completing high balance reports and verifies accuracy of registration information
    • Improves timeliness of cash flow by adhering to established credit and inventory control procedures
    • Increases hotel revenue by promoting food and beverage alternatives within the hotel
    • Communicates effectively with guests, colleagues, and supervisors
    • Demonstrates teamwork by co-operating and assisting colleagues as needed
    • Knowledge of Front Office Technology
    • Know and understand the hotel reservation system
    • Ensure and operate the switchboard, telefax, key equipment, credit card machines and printers, hotel alarm systems, and other Front Office equipment relating to food & beverage, and takes corrective action and follow-up
    • Security, Health & Safety
    • Maintains high confidentiality in regards to guest privacy
    • Ensures all discrepancies in own cash are declared to the Service Manager and Controller
    • Ensures that guest details are not disclosed
    • Reports any suspicious behavior of guests and staff to the Service Manager, and Security
    • Notifies Service Manager and Executive Housekeeper regarding lost and found objects
    • Ensures that all potential and real hazards are reported appropriately immediately
    • Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures
    • Follows emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees
    • Works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others
    • Supports a safe hotel by applying hotel regulations, and adhering to existing laws and regulations.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree in any discipline with 2 - 6 years relevant work experience and must have worked in an hotel with a good knowledge of software usage

    Sales and Marketing Manager

    Job Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and assist with delivering all agreed marketing and PR strategies and monitor on-going marketing and PR campaigns performance and reporting as directed by the Line Manager
    • Support the Line Manager by developing and implementing promotional activity, collateral and in-house merchandising as well as maintaining the hotels’ media library to include video, film and press coverage archives
    • Promote the hotels’ marketing activities to the media covering all food and beverage, rooms and event promotions
    • Support all internal communication activities including, but not limited to, regional and area updates, press release writing, newsletters and drafting speeches for company executives and assisting with senior management interviews with relevant preparation material
    • Promote and support all marketing and PR activities including special events, sponsorship opportunities, merchandising campaigns, exhibitions and property inspections
    • Support the department with media relations involving tracking social media, updating press kits, archiving news releases and press coverage, maintaining media databases, coordinating interviews, and ensuring relevant administrative duties are completed in advance of media visits
    • Organise and manage familiarisation trips for media professionals and entertain local media where appropriate
    • Assist with and, where required, lead on-site photos shoots and hotel filming whilst ensuring all relevant administration approvals are completed and confirmed.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in any discipline with 3 - 7 years relevant work experience.
