    Administrative and Finance Officer

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Manage the financial operations of the project, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations.
    • Prepare and monitor project budgets, tracking expenditures against approved budgets, and providing regular financial reports to the project management and donors.
    • Oversee the processing of payments, including payroll, vendor payments, and reimbursements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to financial policies.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including receipts, invoices, bank statements, and other supporting documentation, in compliance with organizational and donor audit requirements.
    • Coordinate procurement processes, including the solicitation of bids, vendor selection, and contract management, ensuring transparency and value for money.
    • Manage the project’s administrative functions, including office management, recordkeeping, and coordination of meetings and events.
    • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations related to finance, taxation, and labor, and liaise with relevant government authorities as needed.
    • Support the project team with financial analysis and forecasting, providing insights to guide decision-making and ensure the efficient use of project resources.
    • Conduct regular audits and internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial transactions and to identify and address any discrepancies or risks.
    • Provide training and support to project staff on financial and administrative procedures, ensuring that all team members understand and comply with organizational policies.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification such as ACCA or ICAN is an advantage.
    • At least 5 years of experience in financial management and administration, preferably in a humanitarian or development project context.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and budgeting, with experience in managing donor-funded projects.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience in procurement and contract management, with a solid understanding of procurement best practices and compliance requirements.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members, donors, and external partners.
    • Knowledge of local financial regulations and compliance requirements is an asset.
    • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages in Zamfara State is an asset.

    Logistics and Security Officer

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Manage the logistical aspects of the project, including procurement, transportation, and distribution of supplies, ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently and in compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations.
    • Oversee the inventory management system, ensuring accurate tracking of all project assets, supplies, and equipment, and conducting regular audits to verify inventory levels.
    • Coordinate the transportation of goods and personnel, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of supplies to project sites and the secure movement of staff within the operational areas.
    • Develop and implement security protocols to ensure the safety and security of all project staff, assets, and operations, particularly in conflict-affected and high-risk areas.
    • Conduct regular security risk assessments, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities, and making recommendations for risk mitigation measures.
    • Monitor the security situation in the project areas, maintaining regular communication with local authorities, security agencies, and other relevant stakeholders to stay informed of potential risks.
    • Provide security briefings and training to project staff, ensuring that all personnel are aware of security protocols and understand how to respond to emergencies.
    • Ensure that all project vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and that drivers are trained and adhere to safety standards.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of emergency response activities, including the development of contingency plans and the coordination of evacuation procedures if necessary.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on logistics and security operations, including incident reports, inventory updates, and risk assessments.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Security Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications in security management or logistics are an advantage.
    • At least 5 years of experience in logistics and security management, preferably in humanitarian or development projects, with a focus on conflict-affected or high-risk environments.
    • Strong understanding of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain logistics, with the ability to manage complex logistical operations in challenging contexts.
    • Proven experience in developing and implementing security protocols, conducting risk assessments, and managing security operations.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, local authorities, and external stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in using logistics and security management software and tools.
    • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages in Zamfara State is an asset.
    • Willingness to travel frequently within the project areas and to work in challenging and potentially high-risk environments.

    Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework for the project, ensuring alignment with project objectives, donor requirements, and international best practices.
    • Design and manage data collection tools and methodologies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other qualitative and quantitative methods.
    • Monitor project activities to assess progress against targets, identify challenges, and provide actionable recommendations for improving project performance.
    • Compile, analyze, and interpret data to generate comprehensive reports on project outcomes, impact, and lessons learned.
    • Ensure timely and accurate data collection, entry, and management, maintaining a robust and secure database for all project-related information.
    • Coordinate with project managers and field staff to gather and verify data, ensuring that all M&E activities are conducted in a consistent and systematic manner.
    • Conduct regular field visits to monitor the implementation of project activities, verify data, and assess the quality of service delivery.
    • Provide training and capacity building for project staff and partners on M&E tools, techniques, and best practices.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, including donors, local authorities, and partner organizations, to share M&E findings and integrate feedback into project planning and implementation.
    • Ensure that all M&E activities adhere to organizational policies, donor regulations, and ethical standards, with a focus on safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable populations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
    • At least 5 years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, preferably in humanitarian or development projects focused on nutrition, health, or food security.
    • Strong proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting, with experience using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, or R) and data visualization tools.
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
    • Familiarity with donor reporting requirements and experience in preparing M&E reports for international donors.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages in Zamfara State is an asset.

    Community Health Worker

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Conduct household visits to deliver nutrition and hygiene education, focusing on best practices for infant and young child feeding (IYCF) and maternal nutrition.
    • Support and promote breastfeeding and complementary feeding practices among pregnant and lactating women (PLW) and mothers of children aged 0-23 months.
    • Facilitate nutrition and hygiene promotion sessions at the community level, educating beneficiaries on safe food handling, proper hygiene practices, and disease prevention.
    • Assist in the identification and registration of beneficiaries for the project, ensuring accurate data collection and record-keeping.
    • Perform regular MUAC screenings for children and PLW to detect cases of malnutrition and refer them to appropriate treatment centers.
    • Collaborate with Community Nutrition Mobilizers (CNMs) and volunteers to coordinate activities and ensure a unified approach to health and nutrition education.
    • Provide continuous support and follow-up with beneficiaries to reinforce key messages and monitor the adoption of recommended practices.
    • Participate in the organization and facilitation of cash-out sessions, assisting with beneficiary management and ensuring a smooth and secure distribution process.
    • Collect and report data on the health and nutritional status of beneficiaries, contributing to project monitoring and evaluation efforts.
    • Engage with community leaders and members to promote the project and encourage community participation and ownership.

    Qualifications

    • OND/HND/BSc.; additional training in health, nutrition, or community development is an advantage.
    • At least 2 years of experience working in community health, nutrition, or a related field, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
    • Knowledge of basic nutrition and hygiene practices, particularly related to IYCF and maternal nutrition.
    • Experience conducting health education and promotion activities at the community level.
    • Ability to engage effectively with community members, including vulnerable populations, and build trust within the community.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey health and nutrition information clearly and sensitively.
    • Familiarity with the local context and cultural practices in Zamfara State.
    • Fluency in local languages is highly desirable; basic proficiency in English is an asset.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to improving the health and well-being of the community.
    • Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior in working with vulnerable populations.
