    Junior Pipeline and Material Engineer

    • Carry out assigned drawings, Material Take Offs (MTOs), as well as check PEFS or P&IDs for piping material consistency
    • Participate in the preparation of Material Requisitions
    • Perform the technical bid analysis (as may be assigned) under the supervision of the Lead Piping & Materials Engineer
    • Review Client technical documentation and requirements and maintain project technical files
    • Control subcontracted discipline engineering documents
    • Determine Piping engineering requirements for Contracts, Subcontracts and Tenders under the supervision of the Lead Piping & Materials Engineer.
    • Set up and progress basic and detail engineering activities under the supervision of the Lead Piping & Materials Engineer
    • Prepare assigned detail engineering design documentation in compliance with the process requirements and technical specifications (data sheets, Specifications, etc.)
    • Review Client project specifications and requirements as may be assigned by the Lead Piping & Materials Engineer or Engineering Manager
    • Provide technical assistance to the project team as may be required
    • Prepare the assigned technical documentation for the procurement of Piping materials
    • Participate in the technical evaluation of bids
    • Check the list of spares for piping materials
    • Participate in preparing piping books
    • Ensure Piping material suppliers follow-up
    • Provide field engineering support during plant construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning
    • Periodically embark on site visits to project and tendering sites as well as take measurements, pictures, e.t.c as may be required

    Functional Competencies 

    • Decent knowledge of relevant engineering standards, codes and specifications such as such as MESC, API, ASME, BS / EN etc. and Client Standards such as Shell DEP, Total GS, etc.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office tools, AutoCAD, PDMS 3D Model Software as well as Navisworks and SmartPlant Review tool.
    • COREN Registered Engineer or in Process to get COREN Registered is a plus.

    Competencies

    Junior Mechanical Engineer

    • Perform the estimation of each item/equipment (weight/cost) as well as define the class of good of each item and the relevant level of inspection
    • Participate in the preparation of Material Requisitions
    • Perform the technical bid analysis (as may be assigned) under the supervision of the Lead Mechanical Engineer
    • Review Client technical documentation and requirements and maintain project technical files
    • Control subcontracted discipline engineering documents
    • Determine mechanical engineering requirements for Contracts, Subcontracts and Tenders under the supervision of the Lead Mechanical Engineer.
    • Set up and progress basic and detail engineering activities
    • Prepare assigned detail engineering design documentation in compliance with the process requirements and technical specifications (equipment mechanical data sheets, etc.)
    • Review Client project specifications and requirements as may be assigned by the Lead Mechanical Engineer or engineering manager
    • Provide technical assistance to the project team as may be required
    • Prepare the assigned technical documentation for the equipment procurement
    • Participate in the technical evaluation of bids
    • Check the list of spare parts
    • Participate in preparing mechanical books
    • Ensure Equipment suppliers follow-up
    • Provide field engineering support during plant construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning
    • Periodically embark on site visits to project and tendering sites as well as take measurements, pictures, e.t.c as may be required
    • Carry out or perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the Lead Mechanical Engineer or the Engineering Manager

    Competencies 

    • Knowledge and experience in working with API and ASME codes and standards desired.
    • Desirable to have familiarity with specifications and standards of international Clients like Shell DEP, Total GS, etc
    • Familiarity with PV-Elite / Autopipe Vessel / Compress is desired
    • Working knowledge on AutoCAD, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is desirable
    • COREN Registered Engineer or in Process to get COREN Registered is a plus.

    Junior Instrumentation Engineer

    • Prepare instrument index, database plus other instrumentation list for the approval of the Lead Instrument Engineer.
    • Assist in vessels Identification number checks, number (tag) instrument on PEFS or P & IDs and keep the Lead Instrument
    • Engineer updated with respect to instrumentation.
    • Assist in the preparation of instrument layouts, installation details, control room and panel layouts, graphic's, logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, hook-up diagrams, mounting details, cable schedules, loop diagrams, block diagrams, schematic and material take off (MTO) as may be assigned by the Lead Instrument Engineer.
    • Assist in the preparation of the P & IDs or PEFS and Utility flow diagrams and Cause and Effect Matrix.
    • Check, approve and combine comments on Subcontractor or vendor drawings for the approval of the Lead Instrument Engineer.
    • Assurance compliance with the project specifications, standards, control estimates, man-hour estimates and project schedules.
    • Prepare change notices for the approval of the Lead Instrument Engineer when the design deviates from the control estimate and design requirements.
    • Witness performance test by vendor and inspect instrumentation as may be assigned and required.
    • Undertake assigned work in the most efficient and professional manner, and is accountable to the Engineering Manager and the Instrument Engineering Lead on the project.
    • Assume responsibility for the assigned work and report progress of assigned activities to the Lead Instrumentation Engineer.
    • Prepare Instrumentation specification for all instruments, controls and systems equipment for approval of the Lead Instrument Engineer on the assigned project.
    • To size all instrumentation, controls, equipment and in-line instrument components for approval of the Lead/Senior Instrument Engineers on the assigned projects.
    • Draft Instrumentation drawings as may be assigned by the Lead Instrumentation Engineer.
    • Assist the Lead Instrumentation Engineer to liaise with the clients for assigned work activities and keep the team fully informed.
    • Keep abreast with the company's latest quality assurance procedures and ensure that they are being followed.
    • Maintain filing systems of all documentation pertinent to the work allocated to him/her on a project.
    • Write instrumentation requisitions from data supplied by the process department for the Lead Instrumentation Engineer.
    • Technically analyse/evaluate vendor quotations (offers), make recommendations on bid tabulations and write purchase order requisitions for the selected instruments as may be assigned by the Lead Instrument Engineer.
    • Provide field engineering support as may be required during construction, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning
    • Periodically embark on site visits to project and tendering sites as well as take measurements, pictures, e.t.c as may be required

    Junior Electrical Emgineer

    • Preparation of project design criteria (basis) for electrical systems as assigned by the Lead Electrical Engineer
    • Review of client’s technical documentation and requirements, electrical system basic design, electrical system design review and definition of electrical engineering requirements.
    • Prepare material MTO for cost estimate, bill of quantities (BOQ) for electrical erection works estimate
    • Prepare technical documentation (specification, data sheet and inspection data sheets) for electrical equipment and materials
    • Perform electrical system models & calculations and define ratings of equipment/systems (power demand, load flow, short circuits, transient stability, motor starting, harmonics,grounding)
    • Defines the configuration of the electrical system and prepares the single line diagrams, relay and metering schemes, protective relays coordination study
    • Prepare electric substation layout arrangement, interconnecting wiring diagrams, checks and review electrical cable lay down
    • documentation and electrical network layout documentation (grounding, lighting, cathode protection, electric tracing and connection boxes)
    • Prepares technical bid evaluations (TBE) anfollow-ups Vendor follow up of electrical equipment/materials
    • Involvement In functional checks and tests foenergization system energisation and commissioning
    • Support Electrical construction team for modifications at site.
    • Check, approve and combine comments on Subcontractor or vendor drawings for the approval of the Lead Electrical Engineer.

    Junior Civil and Structural Engineer

    • Draft and prepare assigned civil/structural drawings, designs and diagrams
    • Develop design ideas and structural design calculations
    • Communicate with engineers/architects as may be required when preparing civil/structural drawings/designs
    • Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precision
    • Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements
    • Responsive to the demands and coordination of other design team professionals, clients and contractors as may be assigned

    Senior Piping & Materials Engineer

    • Responsible for providing all Piping and materials Engineering inputs/supports for Projects as well as tenders
    • Produce, review and timely issuance of all Piping Engineering deliverables (e.g., piping material specifications, pipe wall thickness calculation, Material Take Offs, drawings) assessing the scope of the studies required and the potential risks
    • Develop Piping Classes Summary & Piping Classes
    • Prepare Data Sheet of special items/material
    • Perform Piping Material Take-Offs (MTOs), Working Instruction, Monitoring Quantities
    • Review and Control the Piping items/materials quantity, monitor the surplus and shortage of Piping Items/materials
    • To Develop Technical Supply Conditions / Requirements for Various Piping Materials and to Make a technical recommendation
    • Prepare Material Requisition for inquiry and purchase,
    • Analyse technical offers from vendors, carry out the technical Bid Evaluation (TBE), including technical clarifications and deviations
    • Prepare Quantities re-evaluation both for Purchasing and Construction
    • Estimate quantities or review and validate estimation done by a specialist of another team
    • Check/review all produced documents (internal or subcontracted — Vendors/OEMs) like design reports, technical specifications, and drawings
    • Prepare the Piping and Layout methodologies/ Design Premises/Basis comprehensive of all necessary data as well as general and specific design guidelines
    • Ensure the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfilment of project quality requirements and contractual obligations
    • Analyse and review project technical documents to validate consistency between the budget, resources and means allocated for the work completion and the targets to be met
    • Define and follow-up the planning of resources’ mobilization
    • Monitor and report actual progress including 3D Model review for Discipline activities, including control of man-hours and delivered documents
    • Control the input data for team activities and check/ review all documents issued by the team
    • Provide technical support to Project group, Procurement, Subcontracting, Construction activities, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning included as per contractual scope of work
    • Flag up on a constant basis of any foreseen technical or financial or delay risk as pertains to the Project Piping and Layout & Materials
    • Make input in the Lessons Learnt Register as pertains to Piping and Materials
    • Assist CAD Administrator in the PMS creation in 3D Software like PDS, PDMS, etc.\\
    • Provide field engineering support during construction, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities
    • Assist, where and when necessary, engineering adjustment/updates on site as well as taking red marks for any construction changes
    • Provide support to Material management at site as may be required
    • To ensure proper guidance & integration of work done, ensuring good, positive & healthy working nature among the team of engineers to ensure optimum productivity & efficiency.
    • Preparation & Issuance of RFQ’s, evaluation of vendor’s quotations, clarifications, Technical Bid Evaluations etc.
    • Prepare Technical Bid Evaluations for the purpose of selecting the most technically qualified/competent vendors/OEMs to support project Instrument procurement process.
    • Liaise with other relevant department such as: Process, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Structural and Procurement in order to ensure there are no gaps in design as well as materials to be procured
    • Review of vendor’s documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations.
    • Supervise and groom Junior Piping Engineer to develop his/her technical knowledge, skills and competencies in order to produce potential talent for future business needs
