    Senior Accountant - Quickbooks & Offshore Oil & Gas

    Position Summary

    • DBESL is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced Senior Accountant to manage and maintain our financial operations using QuickBooks Online.
    • The ideal candidate must have a strong background in accounting within the offshore oil & gas industry, including understanding of project-based financial tracking, vendor payments, multi-currency transactions, and compliance with both Nigerian and international accounting standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain the company’s accounting system using QuickBooks Online with full responsibility for general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
    • Implement and manage project-based accounting practices to track revenues, costs, and profitability of each offshore and marine services project.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
    • Coordinate project billing, client invoicing, and vendor payments in accordance with project execution and contractual milestones.
    • Manage inter-company transactions and multi-currency accounts (USD, NGN, EUR).
    • Monitor project budgets vs actuals, and highlight any variances or risks to the management team.
    • Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations (e.g. VAT, WHT, PAYE), and assist with filing returns and working with auditors and tax authorities.
    • Support the implementation and refinement of cost control and budgeting procedures aligned with the company’s offshore operations.
    • Liaise with project managers, procurement officers, and operations leads to ensure accurate financial tracking and cost allocation.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in the offshore oil & gas or marine logistics sector.
    • Demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks Online – including setup, customization, and advanced reporting.
    • Familiarity with offshore contracting, project-based financials, vessel accounting, and work package billing is highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax codes, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
    • Experience coordinating with external auditors and preparing audit-ready financial records.
    • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

    Preferred Attributes:

    • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, preferably in a project-oriented offshore or engineering services firm.
    • Understanding of vessel cost accounting, CAPEX/OPEX structuring, and financing models is a strong advantage.
    • Ability to adapt QuickBooks to manage complex project needs such as timesheet integration, milestone billing, and cost-center reporting.

    3D Simulation / Animation Technician

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a creative and technically skilled 3D Simulation / Animation Technician to join our engineering and visualization team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for converting 2D AutoCAD drawings into 3D models and developing high-quality 3D animations to support engineering design reviews, client presentations, and offshore project planning. Proficiency in AutoCAD and industry-standard 3D animation software is required. Experience in the oil and gas sector and the ability to communicate in French are considered advantages, though not mandatory.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate file structures, backups, version control, and rendering pipelines.
    • Ensure consistency with brand guidelines, project standards, and client expectations.
    • Convert 2D technical drawings (AutoCAD) into 3D models suitable for visualization and simulation.
    • Create photorealistic or schematic 3D animations illustrating engineering workflows, construction sequences, offshore installation activities, or equipment operations.
    • Export and integrate 3D models into animation platforms such asAutodesk 3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, or Unreal Engine for high-quality rendering and dynamic scene creation.
    • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technical writers to develop visual content that accurately represents complex processes and equipment.
    • Optimize animation content for presentations, training, marketing, or operational simulations.
    • Edit and compile final animation deliverables including sound, effects, transitions, and voice overs if required.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Degree, diploma, or professional certification in Animation, Multimedia Design, Engineering Design Technology, or a related field.
    • 3–5 years experience in 3D modeling and animation, ideally in industrial or engineering environments.
      • Strong proficiency inAutoCAD for drafting and model conversion.
      • Advanced skills in one or more 3D animation and rendering platforms such as:
      • Autodesk 3ds Max
      • Blender
      • Cinema 4D
      • Unreal Engineor Unity (for real-time simulations)
      • Autodesk Maya(for complex animations)
    • Understanding of video editing tools such as Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro is an asset.
    • Knowledge of file formats, mesh optimization, lighting, texturing, rigging, and animation techniques.
    • Experience with engineering visualization in theoil and gas industry is a strong advantage.
    • French language proficiency is a plus, particularly for supporting French-speaking clients or stakeholders.

    Rigging Supervisor - Offshore Oil & Gas Operations

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Rigging Supervisor to oversee and execute complex offshore lifting and rigging operations for oil and gas projects.
    • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing rigging plans, supervising offshore lifting operations, and interpreting detailed installation procedures.
    • Strong leadership, technical expertise, and an uncompromising approach to safety are essential for this role.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and supervise all rigging and lifting operations onboard offshore vessels, platforms, or barges, ensuring compliance with project procedures and safety standards.
    • Develop and review rigging and lifting plans, including the selection of equipment, configuration of rigging gear, lifting angles, center of gravity calculations, and load path analysis.
    • Interpret and execute offshore installation procedures in collaboration with the project engineering and construction teams.
    • Coordinate with crane operators, deck foremen, welders, and riggers to safely carry out lifting operations for subsea structures, topside modules, risers, and other equipment.
    • Oversee crane and winch operations, ensuring correct line pulls, lift coordination, and communication protocols are followed.
    • Supervise or participate in the fabrication and installation of rigging aids, such as pad-eyes, lifting lugs, or temporary supports, ensuring correct welding procedures and inspections are followed.
    • Inspect and certify rigging equipment and lifting accessories (e.g., slings, shackles, hooks, spreader bars) for offshore service.
    • Ensure proper documentation of rigging plans, lift reports, equipment certifications, and toolbox talks.
    • Conduct pre-lift meetings and participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), toolbox talks, and Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.
    • Mentor rigging crew members and ensure adherence to offshore safety practices and company policies.
    • Maintain clear records of daily activities and progress, and provide input to offshore reports and close-out documentation.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Trade certification, diploma, or technical qualification in Mechanical, Structural, or Marine discipline is preferred.
    • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in offshore oil & gas rigging and lifting operations, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
    • In-depth knowledge of offshore rigging standards (e.g., LOLER, IMCA, API RP 2D) and lifting safety regulations.
    • Experience in offshore installation projects involving subsea structures, topsides, FPSO modules, or jacket/topsides mating is strongly preferred.
    • Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, lifting plans, and offshore procedures.
    • Proven experience in the use and management of cranes, winches, and hydraulic lifting systems in offshore environments.
    • Experience in welding operations and the installation of rigging aids (e.g., pad-eyes, doubler plates) under offshore conditions.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.

    Marine Installations / Project Engineer - Offshore Oil & Gas

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a seasoned Marine Installations / Project Engineer to support the planning and execution of complex offshore installation operations.
    • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the offshore oil & gas industry, with a strong background in the development of detailed marine and rigging procedures.
    • This role may suit a Project Engineer with offshore construction experience or a Master Mariner who has transitioned into engineering/project roles and is highly familiar with offshore operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the development of installation procedures for marine operations including subsea structures, risers, mooring systems, umbilicals, topside modules, and floating assets.
    • Prepare detailed rigging plans and method statements in compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and offshore best practices.
    • Conduct risk assessments and HAZID/HAZOP workshops related to marine and installation activities.
    • Interface with marine spread providers, vessel teams, construction crews, and client representatives to ensure smooth execution of offshore campaigns.
    • Define equipment requirements including rigging gear, lifting appliances, deck layouts, and sea fastening arrangements.
    • Prepare and review installation drawings, load out plans, tow-out procedures, dynamic positioning (DP) assessments, and motion analyses.
    • Coordinate marine operations from planning through execution, including support during load out, transportation, and offshore installation.
    • Contribute to logistics planning, scheduling, interface management, and marine assurance processes.
    • Ensure all procedures are compliant with industry standards (IMCA, DNV, API, ISO, etc.), classification society requirements, and internal QA/HSE policies.
    • Support the review and red line of contractor procedures and provide technical input during project execution and close-out.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture, or related discipline) OR Certificate of Competency as Master Mariner (STCW II/2) with engineering project experience
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in offshore oil & gas installation projects
    • Proven track record in preparing offshore installation and rigging procedures
    • Strong understanding of marine operations, lifting techniques, hydrodynamic forces, and vessel behavior
    • Familiarity with offshore construction equipment (e.g., A-frames, cranes, winches, lifting beams, subsea deployment systems)
    • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to read and interpret CAD drawings (experience with AutoCAD or Navisworks is an advantage)
    • Experience working with or supervising marine spreads such as DSVs, construction vessels, pipelay vessels, and anchor handlers.

    Key Competencies:

    • Strong organizational and procedural writing skills
    • Excellent understanding of offshore installation safety principles and practices
    • Clear communicator with ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and vessel crews
    • Proactive problem solver with ability to adapt to changing site conditions
    • High attention to detail, quality assurance, and operational risk awareness.

    Desirable (Optional but Preferred):

    • Offshore survival and medical certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET)
    • Familiarity with offshore project execution in West Africa or similar regional environments.
