    Technical Assistant-Clinical Services

    Ideal candidate will provide technical and programmatic support to implement high quality comprehensive HIV/AIDS programs (ART, PMTCT, TB/HIV, RH/HIV, and HTS) and other services including direct service provision support at facility level based on the ongoing HIV and Tb surge in Akwa Ibom state. S/He will support, scale up and coordinate the facility level implementation of integrated HIV and TB surge strategies aimed at maximizing HIV case finding efficiencies based on the 95:95:95 strategies.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards:         

    • MBBS with a minimum of 1 year post national youth service experience in clinical care or, Registered Nurse/Midwife with a minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience.
    • A sound understanding of HIV/AIDS, TB and TB/HIV technical areas.

    Assistant Technical Officer-Clinical Services

    Ideal candidate will provide technical leadership and technical support related to clinical management of HIV/AIDS and Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to Key populations (MSM, FSW, PWID & Transgender). Provide ART services to Key Populations in line with current World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations and national guidelines both at the OSS and through mobile ART sites. Oversee clinical HIV treatment protocols in each clinical department to reflect the needs of the Keys populations and ensure consistency of treatment services throughout the OSS. Ensure seamless delivery of service for clients from intake through discharge at the OSS. Effectively manage and supervise other health service providers, volunteers and case managers at the OSS as well as mobile ART teams. Advise project team on national and state policies, procedures and licensing requirements and ensure compliance with all requirements and/or mandatory inspections. Provide support to the Strategic Information (SI) unit to manage data collection for service delivery to Key Populations in project communities using nationally approved tools.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard:

    • MB.BS or similar degree with 2 to 3 years post NYSC with at least 2 years of progressive experience providing services to PLHIVs in Nigeria. 
    • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is an added advantage.
    • Proven experience working with KP and facilitating technical trainings.
    • Excellent ability to communicate and maintain diplomatic and productive relations with the team; resourcefulness, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast changing and challenging environment.

    HIV Program Specialist

    HIV PROGRAM SPECIALIST: Will provide technical support at state level to implement high quality care, treatment and support activities with primary focus on technical areas of comprehensive TB and HIV/AIDS programs including laboratory, pharmacy, logistics, prevention, care, treatment, TB, RMNCH, mitigation, monitoring and evaluation. They will also support the Cluster Lead to provide technical leadership and engage with stakeholders and as approved, represent the organization to stakeholder events.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • MB.BS/MD/PhD or similar degree with 1 to 3 years of progressive relevant experience in managing comprehensive TB and HIV programs in resource constrained settings.

    or

    • MPH or MS/MA in relevant degree with 3 to 5 years of progressive relevant experience in managing comprehensive TB and HIV programs in resource constrained settings.

    or

    • BS/BA in pharmacy, microbiology, health sciences, monitoring and evaluation, public health or in relevant degree with 5 to 7 years of progressive relevant experience in managing comprehensive TB and HIV programs in resource constrained settings.
    • For each band above, possession of an additional post graduate degree in a related field is an advantage.
    • Experience in project development with proven experience in the planning and facilitation of training is required. 
    • Experience in large and complex donor-funded national health focused project is an added advantage.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

    Senior Program Officer

    The Senior Program Officer provides support to the GF portfolio to coordinate the work of the AHNI/Nigeria field offices. S/he will support program planning, design, review and monitoring of the program implemented at the state level, support the coordination of AHNi-GF HIV/AIDS activities within donor guidelines and regulations and assist in strengthening a system of reporting strategies, subproject documents, work plans and budgets at the country office, state and SR levels. S/he will support program planning and formulation of implementation strategies to improve project implementation and burn rate at the country office, zonal and SR level, support the provision of programmatic assistance to states, SRs and partners in HIV/AIDS/KP activities in the assigned zones and support the monitoring of the GF project activities at the state level.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard:

    • BS/BA degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Sciences, behavioral sciences or its equivalent.
    • 5 – 7 years’ experience working in development programs at community level with at least 3-5 years’ experience with HIV/AIDS program planning and implementation working with public and NGO sectors required.
    • Or MBBS degree or MS/MA/MPH degree or its recognized equivalent with 3-5 years’ working experience in HIV/AIDS intervention program.
    • Knowledge of major donor policies (USAID, Global Fund) as well as international not-for- profit organizations
    • Good stakeholder engagement, community mobilization and advocacy skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially in terms of reporting.

    Finance & Administrative Assistant

    The Finance and Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the provision of accounting, administrative, and logistical support services to the state Office. S/He will ensure the accurate keeping of all books of account for the project, including checking account, equipment and supply registers and all accounting records, lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports with accompanying bank documentation and receipts, assist in monitoring subproject budgets in accordance with approved work plan activities. S/He will also assist with the maintenance of an efficient records/storage of all office supplies while functioning as Lead for processing cash advances, retirements, petty cash management and refunds made in favor of AHNI state office.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards:

    • University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business administration.
    • Three (3) years working experience in related fields.
    • Sound accounting administrative and secretarial skills.
    • Experience with large complex organization is required, familiarity with international NGOs preferred.

    Technical Assistant-Geographic Information Systems

    Ideal candidate will provide geo spatial analysis, database management technical and programmatic support to implement high quality comprehensive HIV/AIDS programs (ART, PMTCT, TB/HIV, RH/HIV, and HTS) and other services including hotspot mapping, to provide deeper insights into data, such as patterns, relationships, and situations.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Geography/GIS studies/Geography & Regional Planning, Database Management, Health Informatics, or related fields.
    • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant GIS, data systems work, programming, and analytic experience.
    • Familiarity with client/server or multi-platform application development.
    • Must be skilled in the use of GIS applications as Arch GIS, QGIS, White box Spatial Analysis, Google Earth pro etc.
    • A sound understanding of HIV/AIDS, TB and TB/HIV technical areas.

    Technical Assistant-Community ART Management Services

    Ideal candidate will provide technical and programmatic support to implement high quality comprehensive HIV/AIDS programs (ART, PMTCT, TB/HIV, RH/HIV, and HTS) and other services including direct service provision support for community level services based on the ongoing HIV and Tb surge in Akwa Ibom state. Support, scale up and coordinate the community level implementation of integrated HIV and TB surge strategies aimed at maximizing HIV case finding efficiencies based on the 95:95:95 strategies. S/He will support optimal linkage and enrolment rates for identified HIV positive adult, adolescent and pediatric clients at community level based on the 95:95:95 strategies, support the community level implementation of test and start strategy including same day ART enrolment for identified HIV positive adults, adolescent and pediatric patients  based on the 95:95:95 strategies and  also support the community level implementation of strategies aimed at optimizing retention in ART care and enhancing virological suppression for adult, adolescent and pediatric patients enrolled in EPIC-supported treatment locations based on the 95:95:95 strategies.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards:

    • MBBS with a minimum of 1 year post national youth service experience in clinical care OR Registered Nurse/Midwife/BSc Nursing with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
    • A sound understanding of HIV/AIDS, TB and TB/HIV technical areas.
    • Knowledge of Nigerian clinical setting including government and non-government settings.
    • Experience in integrated HIV care delivery.
    • Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the social, political and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection.
