    Senior Technical Officer - Monitoring & Evaluation

    Job Description

    • Will be responsible for the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities for the State Office.  S/he will ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the donor and project’s M&E needs. S/He will provide technical oversight for designing, development, planning, implementation; and capacity-building of monitoring and evaluation of assigned unit level programs and develop strategies and tools for the design and implementation of surveillance, monitoring and evaluation components.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar Degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health Initiatives
    • Or MPH or MS / MA in relevant Degree with 5 to 7 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.
    • Or BS / BA in Statistics, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Monitoring and Evaluation or in relevant Degree with 7 to 9 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.

    Senior Technical Officer - Prevention, Care & Treatment - Adamawa

    Job Description

    • Will provide technical leadership and support related to clinical management of HIV/AIDS strategies and approaches in implementation of the programs.
    • S/He will work with relevant stakeholders to coordinate the design and implementation of facility-based programs in relation to clinical management of HIV/AIDS, including the use of Anti-retroviral treatment, PMTCT, care and support, work with relevant staff and partners to coordinate the design and implementation of community-based programs in relation to community HTS and PMTCT including optimizing HIV case finding and linkage to care at supported health facilities, liaise with partners implementing community programs in order to optimize community-facility linkage of clients identified to be HIV positive and retention to care and treatment, support the provision of Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and ART in line with National and Global best practices and guideline. S/He will also provide technical assistance in non-ART clinical care including the management of opportunistic infections (OI) and Palliative care capacity for PLHIV, contribute to the development of program strategies, subproject documents, work plans and budgets and represent AHNi to donors and government officials on issues of HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support at the State level.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • MB.BS / MD or similar Degree with 3 to 5 years of progressive relevant experience in clinical care with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of HTS, PMTCT, anti-retroviral therapy (ART), TB HIV collaboration, care and support in resource constrained settings
    • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is an advantage
    • Experience in project development with proven experience in the planning and facilitation of training is required
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

    Senior Technical Officer - Adaptive Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning

    Job Description

    • With technical oversight from the STA-AMERL, S/he will design and implement monitoring and evaluation activities for the state offices.
    • Work with others in the state office and local implementing partners to ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the donor and project’s M&E needs.
    • Manage the state office’s reporting cycle to ensure high quality and complete datasets are sent to the country office on a periodic basis, or when required.
    • On a monthly basis, ensure that high quality analyzed facility-level data is disseminated to relevant staff at facilities and decision-makers.
    • Ensure that data is used to highlight important programmatic gaps and coordinate with facility management and other departments in addressing these gaps.
    • Coordinate regular data quality assessments, undertaken in a participatory manner, with facility staff and ensure the completeness, consistency and validity of routine data.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • BS / BA in Statistics, Pharmacy Or Microbiology with 5 to 7 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in care and treatment for HIV/AIDS especially with ARV program.
    • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is required.
    • Proven experience in project development, planning and facilitating technical training.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

    Compliance Officer

    Job Description

    • The Compliance Officer will carry out independent appraisals of the effectiveness of policies, procedures and standards by which Global Fund’s financial resources are managed.
    • S/He will review and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, adequacy of internal controls, reliability of financial reporting, compliance with applicable laws/regulations and the safeguard of assets within AHNi’s policy framework.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • BSc in Accounting or Finance with 4-5 years relevant experience with international development programs that includes 3-5years of experience in internal control function.
    • MS/MA in Accounting or Finance or related field with 3-4 years relevant experience with international development programs and includes 3-5 years of experience in internal control functions.
    • Experience in accounting and accounting principles enough to prepare complex and detailed financial and budgetary analyses.
    • Experience in financial reporting, and financial management systems applications.
    • Familiarity with Global Fund or similar donor-funded programs is required.
    • CPA. ACA, ICAN, CIMA, CFE or any other relevant professional qualification is required.

    LAMIS UPLOAD Consultant

    Background

    • Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative, a sub recipient to FHI360 is Implementing the Global Fund National Aligned HIV/AIDS Intervention Grant in Taraba state among Key Populations. AHNi through the OSS provides comprehensive KP services to Clients at the OSS.
    • In the light of the above, the organization seeks to engage the services of data consultant for the upload and entry of comprehensive prevention services on LAMIS and other EMR Platforms in a bid to ensure update of data attained on the UNAIDS 95-95-95 goals of the grant.
    • Ten consultants will be engaged to work for a 25-day period to ensure update of stipulated data set on the LAMIS EMR platform

    Job Description / Specific Deliverables

    • Ensure rigor and quality in PrEP data collection
    • Carry out data verification exercises for data set to be uploaded on LAMIS platform.
    • Conduct routine data quality assurance exercise for data set to entered on LAMIS Platform.
    • Upload/ Entry of data unto the LAMIS platform
    • Maintain a tracker of number of folders entered on the LAMIS platform
    • Participate in OSS program review meetings during the period
    • Carry out other activities assigned

    Requirements

    • Minimum of HND (Medical Records) or Bachelor's Degree.
    • 1 year’ experience Local or International NGOs; preferably in Care and treatment Experience with use, deployment of LAMIS and DHIS will be an added advantage
    • Skills using MS Excel, MS Access, SPSS and/or SAS and Epi-Info highly desirable.
    • Strong data management and analysis skills
    • Hands on experience in the use of computer (Word processing, Excel, and database programs).
    • Knowledge of and experience in spreadsheet and database management work.
    • Good communication skills including proficiency in both written and spoken English
    • Must be resident in Jalingo Taraba State.
    • Ability to communicate in local diale.
