    Chemical Engineer (CCR Operator)

    Location: Ibese Plant, Ibese Plant

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Monitor various sections of the production line from the Central Control Room (CCR) To ensure precision and adherence to standards in the cement production process.
    • Provide relevant information and direction to patrollers and operators in the production line based on monitored operations in liaison with the shift coordination
    • Assist in implementing DIL’S approved production
    • Monitor and control all sections of the plant process lines to ensure stable equipment operation, employee safety and compliance with prescribe standards and environmental regulations
    • Log in process data at specified intervals, documents and report operational activities accordingly.
    • Ensure smooth operation of the crusher raw mills, kilns and cement mills by providing constant feedback and relevant guidance to shift coordinators, Engineers, Patrollers and Operators in the execution of the field work
    • Inform patrollers, Attendants and operators of failures, potential failure or trouble spots and provide direction for problem solving.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot potential operating problems, either in consultation with shift coordinators, Engineers and the section Head or independently when immediate action is necessary to ensure production resumes
    • Continuously review the plant automation system and make recommendations for improvement based on leading practises
    • Prepare detailed reports on the work undertaken in clear and concise manner
    • Supervise casual staff to ensure all conveyors belts in the unit are clean and free from jamming
    • Ensure cement and clinker production targets are achieved during respective shift
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the section Head /HOD

    Key Requirements

    • Holder of BSc in Chemical and Processing Engineering or any related discipline.
    • At least 2 years of working experience in relevant position.

    Logistics Officer

    Location: Ibese Plant, Ibese Plant

    Job Summary

    • Provide support for the logistics function by managing Dispatch activities (weigh in and weigh out) to ensure all inbound and outbound trucks weight are accurately captured and documented, with focus on time, in order to meet up with customer’s demand.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Check and Cross-check the relevant documents presented by the driver on climbing the scale.
    • Ensure proper truck positioning on scale before commencing weighing process.
    • Inputting the details information from the delivery note submitted into the system, that includes driver name and truck number.
    • Unblocking of stock transfer order documents.
    • Confirm truck weight while on scale before saving the transaction.
    • Scale in the truck with correct information, capture details and save the transaction on the system.
    • Record the details of the weigh in transaction into record book.
    • Confirm accurate weight of loaded truck before updating details on the system.
    • In case of truck loaded above/under tolerance limit, inform the supervisor for further action.
    • Scale out the transaction with correct information, update same, save and generate waybill/weighment ticket for empty/loaded trucks using system.
    • Record the details of weigh out into record book of every single transaction.
    • Give hourly report update as per the number trucks weigh in/out.
    • Proper filling of all necessary transactional documents.
    • Generate report at closing hour and submit same to the supervisor.
    • Ensure that all weighbridge activities comply with DCP’s Health, Safety, and Environment standards
    • Perform any other duties assigned by weighbridge supervisor.

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Transport Management, Purchasing & Supplies or Business Administration

    Skills and Behaviours

    • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
    • Sound knowledge of DCP’s product and service offerings.
    • Working knowledge of inventory management terminologies, methodologies and approach
    • Basic knowledge of system-based inventory management systems

    Operator/Patroller - Production Department

    Responsible for continuous inspection of the assigned section at production processes towards ensuring that all equipment function effectively.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Implement assigned field activities and provide feedback to the CCR team.
    • Ensure all processing equipment are cleaned regularly.
    • Liaise with CCR operators and Shift Managers for smooth and uninterrupted operations, so as to reduce down time or breakdown.
    • Conduct inspection of equipment in assigned production section and document problems for immediate attention.
    • Report critical problems to CCR Operators, and/ or Shift Coordinators for immediate and prompt action.
    • Organize and participate fully in all cleaning activities in assigned sections.
    • Ensure timely execution of housekeeping activities within assigned section.

    Requirements

    • School Cert or its equivalent in any discipline.
    • Zero (0) to three (3) years relevant work experience.

    Assistant General Manager, Mechanical (Hydraulics Specialist)

    A Hydraulic Specialist is responsible for Operation, Maintenance, Trouble Shooting of hydraulic systems for FLS Coolers, IKN Coolers, Loesche VRM and OK Mills. They utilize their expertise in fluid mechanics, physics, and engineering principles to analyze and develop sustainable solutions for bulk material handling equipment (Stacker and Reclaimer), kilns clinker Cooler hydraulic systems. This role plays a crucial part in the planning and implementation of various hydraulic engineering projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability. Exposure of Cement Plant Equipment Stacker Reclaimers, Rawmills, Kilns Coolers and Cement mill General Maintenance.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Operation and Maintenance, Trouble shooting of  hydraulic system Problems, including, Stacker luffing/hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic hose, directional control valves and proportionate valve, Cooler Hydraulic Drives, VRM Hydraulic System.
    • Conducting feasibility studies, including trouble shooting and assessments, to determine the viability and potential impacts of hydraulic faults.
    • Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to develop comprehensive hydraulic designs and engineering plans in ensuring equipment reliability and optimization.
    • Identifying and evaluating potential risks and hazards associated with hydraulic systems, and implementing appropriate safety measures.
    • Performing hydraulic calculations, simulations, and modelling to predict the behaviour and performance of equipment’s.
    • Overseeing the construction and installation of hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
    • Conducting inspections and assessments of existing hydraulic infrastructure, identifying maintenance or repair needs, and providing recommendations.
    • Conducting research and staying updated on the latest advancements in hydraulic engineering technologies and methodologies.
    • Managing budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure plant success.
    • Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permitting requirements.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with Hydraulics Training/Hydraulics Special Course  or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
    • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.
    • Above 15 years of experience in cement plant hydraulics Operation, maintenance and Trouble Shooting.
    • Proven experience in hydraulic engineering, preferably in the design and maintenance of hydraulic systems.
    • Knowledge of study of Hydraulic Circuits /hydraulic Notations and Symbols relevant software and tools used in hydraulic engineering, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft office and SAP Module.
    • Strong mathematical and computational skills.
    • Familiarity with environmental impact assessment processes and regulations.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience in project management and working with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

    Skills and Behaviours

    • In-depth knowledge of hydraulic engineering principles and fluid mechanics.
