    CNG Project Management Officer

    Location: Obajana DCT, Obajana DCT, Nigeria

    CNG Project Management Officer will play a key role in the implementation and management of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) projects, ensuring that they meet company standards and strategic objectives. This position involves coordinating between various stakeholders, managing timelines, and providing innovative solutions to challenges that may arise throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a solid understanding of CNG technology, and excellent communication skills.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    •  Lead and manage CNG projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget.
    • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation for CNG project implementations.
    • Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors to align project objectives and deliverables.
    • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring that any issues are effectively addressed in a timely manner.
    • Prepare and present regular project progress reports to senior management, outlining achievements and potential challenges.
    • Facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
    • Monitor project performance metrics and KPIs, analyzing data to optimize project outcomes.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout all project phases.
    • Continuously seek improvements to project processes, methodologies, and technology to enhance project delivery.
    • Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for CNG projects.

    Education and Work Experience Skill

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5-10  years of experience in project management, preferably within the energy or oil and gas sectors, with direct experience in CNG projects being highly desirable.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent certification is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of CNG operations, equipment, and regulatory requirements.
    • Proven experience managing complex projects, with a track record of successful project delivery within scope and budget.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proficiency in project management software, as well as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word,PowerPoint).
    • Willingness to travel as needed to project sites.
    • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Lean.
    • Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations pertaining to CNG projects

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for planning, coordination, and control of efficient maintenance execution of all Electrical Installations and activities.

    • Expert knowledge of maintenance management methods, predictive inspection tools, and of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System),

    Job Summary

    The Assistant General Manager, Mechanical (Kiln & Coal-Mill) at Dangote Cement Plc is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant mechanical equipment and systems. Develop and implement mechanical maintenance strategy to ensure the achievement of critical maintenance metrics including plant availability and overall equipment efficiency (OEE) of the the Kilns and Coal Mills.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop efficient and effective short and long term maintenance programs for mechanical kiln. 
    • Coordinate regular kiln inspections, assessments and adjustments, if necessary to ensure optimum availability of the cement kiln and to verify that the kiln operates within the load and stress parameters laid down by the kiln designer. 
    • Plan, organise and schedule mechanical kiln maintenance inspections, assessments and evaluations including spare part audits. 
    • Evaluate requirement of new machines or possible upgrade of existing machinery. 
    • Ensure that safety precautions are followed in installation, maintenance and working of mechanical element of the company. 
    • Prepare and monitor assigned budget items; ensure all work is done within stated budget. 
    • Operate computerised maintenance management systems for the effective maintenance of the cement factory. 
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head, Mechanical Maintenance from time to time.  

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 
    • A minimum of fifteen (15) years work experience in plant operations.
    • In-depth knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
    • In-depth knowledge of mechanical kiln maintenance in cement plant.
    • Very good knowledge of safety standards as required by laws and regulations.
    • Excellent time management, planning and scheduling skills.
    • Very good analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Very good oral, written communication and leadership skills.
    • Proficient in the use of SAP & Microsoft Office.
