The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing and controlling the procurement, storage, distribution, and tracking of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and consumables.
The role ensures optimal stock levels, compliance with healthcare regulations, reduction of wastage, and uninterrupted availability of critical healthcare items.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily inventory operations for medical supplies, drugs, equipment, and consumables.
Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages, overstocking, and expiries.
Implement inventory control systems and maintain accurate stock records.
Conduct regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliations.
Track expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
Coordinate procurement activities with vendors and internal departments.
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, regulatory guidelines, and safety policies.
Oversee storage conditions for pharmaceuticals and medical items (temperature, handling, labeling).
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management within a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting.
Strong knowledge of medical inventory systems and healthcare supply chain processes.
Experience using inventory management software (ERP systems preferred).
Understanding of regulatory requirements for healthcare inventory management.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
