    Internal Audit Specialist

    Job Description

    • The Internal Auditor will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of Payzeep’s risk management, control, and governance processes. This role involves conducting audits across departments, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, identifying areas for operational improvement, and supporting a culture of integrity and accountability.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, plan, and conduct risk-based internal audits across different departments, including financial, operational, and IT audits
    • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, compliance, and ri skmanagement processes
    • Identify and analyze key risks and potential control weaknesses in business processes
    • Prepare audit reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations for corrective action
    • Present audit findings and improvement recommendations to management and stakeholders
    • Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions
    • Ensure that all operations comply with applicable laws, standards, and internal policies.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements relevant to Payzeep’s business
    • Provide insights and guidance on compliance issues and internal control improvements
    • Support management in identifying process efficiencies and streamlining controls.
    • Recommend enhancements to policies and procedures to strengthen the internal control framework.
    • Participate in the development and review of policies related to internal control and risk management.
    • Build relationships with key business stakeholders to promote risk awareness and control effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed to facilitate reviews and examinations.
    • Provide training and support to team members on risk management, compliance, and controls.

    Qualification

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
    • 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing, external auditing, risk management, or compliance, preferably in Fintech Space
    • Certification: CPA, CIA, or CISA preferred
    • Excellent attention to detail to review large amounts of data and numbers
    • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (e.g., GAAP, SOX, AML, data privacy standards.
    • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent research skills to find all related information needed
    • Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets
    • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations.

    Merchant Acquisition & Growth Manager

    Job Summary:

    • The Merchant Acquisition and Growth Manager will play a crucial role in expanding Payzeep's merchant network and driving transaction volume on our platform. This role involves end-to-end management of the merchant lifecycle, from onboarding and activation to retention and growth. You will focus on acquiring high-value merchants, e-commerce businesses, and online merchants, providing them with tailored payment solutions, including POS terminals and web payment integration.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Merchant Acquisition:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive merchant acquisition strategy targeting various segments, including high-value merchants, e-commerce businesses, and online retailers.
    • Identify and pursue leads through online channels, industry events, referrals, and partnerships.
    • Create compelling marketing and sales materials showcasing the benefits of Payzeep's payment gateway platform.

    Onboarding and Activation:

    • Design and implement a seamless onboarding process for new merchants, ensuring a positive first experience and rapid activation.
    • Guide merchants through the technical integration of Payzeep's payment solutions, including POS terminal setup and web payment integration.
    • Provide comprehensive training and support to merchants on using the platform and its features.

    Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, acting as their primary point of contact.
    • Proactively address merchant queries and concerns, providing timely support and solutions.
    • Conduct regular account reviews to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.

    Product and Service Adoption:

    • Encourage merchants to adopt the full range of Payzeep's payment solutions, including POS terminals, web payments, mobile payments, and other relevant channels.
    • Stay informed about new product developments and proactively introduce them to merchants.
    • Analyze merchant transaction data to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.

    Retention and Growth:

    • Implement strategies to maximize merchant retention and minimize churn.
    • Develop loyalty programs and incentive schemes to reward active merchants and encourage continued platform usage.
    • Monitor merchant satisfaction and gather feedback to improve services and address pain points.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

    • Number of merchants onboarded
    • Merchant activation rate
    • Transaction volume and value processed through the platform
    • Merchant retention rate
    • Number of payment channels adopted per merchant
    • Customer satisfaction scores
    • Revenue generated from merchant services

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in merchant acquisition, payment processing, or fintech sales.
    • Proven track record of success in acquiring and onboarding merchants.
    • Strong understanding of the Nigerian payments landscape and e-commerce ecosystem.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Technical proficiency with payment gateways, POS terminals, and web payment integration.
    • Data-driven and analytical, with the ability to track KPIs and make data-informed decisions.
