    Head of Financial Operations and Tax

    Why This Role?

    • As the Head, Financial Operations and Tax, you’ll develop and monitor finance policies, ensure seamless operations (from fixed assets to payables), and drive compliance with IFRS and statutory standards. You’ll work closely with the CFO to align processes with our strategic goals, automate systems, and deliver error-free reports that empower decision-making.      What You’ll Do:

    • Finance Operations: Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; manage inventories, fixed assets, payables, and GL analysis to support decision-making.
    • Audited Financial Reports: Deliver precise annual reports for audit, aligned with IFRS, to achieve certification.
    • Taxes & Statutory Compliance: Oversee VAT, WHT, CIT, tax audits, and all related compliances.
    • Project Execution: Ensure timely project closures, accurate recognition, and drive accounting system automations.
    • Internal Compliance & IFRS: Review processes for compliance and align accounting treatments with IFRS standards.
    • General Ledger Management: Reconcile GL and sub-ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy across income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow.

    What We’re Looking For? 

    • Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance, or related field (2.1/Upper Credit minimum); Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a plus; ICAN, ACA, or ACCA required.
    • Experience: 10+ years of post-qualification experience in banking, corporate financial services, or investment management; telecom sector and ERP implementation experience are advantages.

    Skills:

    • Deep knowledge of financial management systems, IFRS, GAAP, and cost accounting.
    • Advanced Excel and ERP expertise; strong reporting and management accounting skills.
    • Tech-savvy with a focus on process optimization and automation.

    Credit Control Officer

    • To ensure consistent operational cash inflow into the business by regular billing of customers and receivable management in strict compliance with credit policy.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure money collectable from sales and takings are received in collection accounts and are fully reconciled to bank in order to block all cash leakages and loss of fund which may result in shareholders’ fund depletion.
    • Ensure WHT receipts are collected, properly accounted for and allocated in accordance with the company’s credit policy.
    • Follow up on receivable in accordance to the credit policy, collect and allocate payments
    • Ensure timely reconciliation whenever there is disparity between customer’s payment and invoices
    • Ensure the receivable aging complies with the company credit policy
    • Weekly submission of Follow up Reports and monthly submission of Credit policy compliance report

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Minimum 2.2/Upper Credit B.Sc / HND degree in Accounting or any related course
    • 2 years experience
    • Ability to optimize work processes
    • Knowledge of general accounting principles
    • Knowledge of debit and credit
    • Proficiency in Excel
    • Knowledge of accounts receivables
    • Customer relationship management
