Head of Engineering at KALTANI

Role Purpose

• The Head of Engineering will lead the design, construction, and optimization of Kaltani’s recycling parks, RDF lines, and waste-to-energy facilities.
• This role ensures that Kaltani’s infrastructure operates with world-class efficiency, safety, and sustainability integrating technology and innovation into every plant and process.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Design & Infrastructure Development:

• Lead end-to-end on all designs, planning, and construction of recycling andcomposting facilities.
• Design plant layouts, machinery, and utilities meet technical andenvironmental standards.
• Oversee facility construction phases, managing sub- contractors.
• Manage vendor selection, installation, and commissioning of criticalequipment (balers, sorters, conveyors,).

Maintenance & Reliability:

• Drive Plant efficiency and uptime across all plants.
• Oversee all forms of maintenance programs and asset lifecycle management.
• Ensure that Engineering designs maintain world class standards andfunctionality.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and extend asset lifespan.

Innovation & Technology Integration:

• Champion adoption of automation, AI, and IoT-enabled systems acrossEngineering operations.
• Collaborate with the Head of Digital Innovation to optimize plant data andmonitoring systems.

Quality, Safety & Environmental Compliance:

• Maintain strict adherence to quality and safety standards across plant sites.
• Ensure all engineering operations comply with HSE and environmentalguidelines.

Project & Team Leadership:

• Build and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical,civil).
• Coordinate with procurement, operations, and project development for timelyproject execution.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in plant engineering, industrial operations, or manufacturing infrastructure.
• Proven experience designing or managing recycling, waste-to-energy, or industrial plants.
• Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and civil systems.
• Professional Engineering (P.Eng/COREN) certification preferred.
