    Head of Audit

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute the internal audit strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
    • Advise senior leadership and the Audit Committee on audit findings, emerging risks, and control improvements.
    • Champion a strong risk and compliance culture across all retail operations, distribution centers, and corporate offices.

    Audit Planning & Execution:

    • Design and implement an annual risk-based audit plan covering stores, supply chain, e-commerce, finance, IT, and corporate functions.
    • Oversee the execution of audit engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance with internal audit standards (IIA).
    • Monitor follow-up actions to ensure remediation of control weaknesses identified during audits.

    Risk Management & Internal Controls:

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control frameworks and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Collaborate with management to identify emerging risks (e.g., cybersecurity, inventory shrinkage, data privacy, fraud, ESG compliance).
    • Conduct investigations into suspected fraud, loss, or irregularities in partnership with Legal and HR.

    People & Stakeholder Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing internal audit team.
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders — executive management, business unit heads, external auditors, and regulators.
    • Present clear, concise, and impactful audit reports and updates to the Audit Committee and Board.

    Compliance & Continuous Improvement:

    • Ensure adherence to internal audit methodologies and regulatory requirements.
    • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in audit practices, leveraging data analytics and automation tools.
    • Benchmark internal audit performance against industry best practices within the retail sector.

    Qualifications

    • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 10 - 15 years experience.

    Senior Account Officer

    Responsibiltiies
    Financial Accounting:

    • Prepare, review, and maintain general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal adjustments.
    • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
    • Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and intercompany balances.

    Accounts Payable & Receivable:

    • Oversee invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor account reconciliations.
    • Monitor accounts receivable collections, aging reports, and customer account reconciliations.
    • Ensure proper authorization and documentation for all payments and receipts.

    Budgeting & Reporting:

    • Support preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
    • Provide management with accurate financial data and insights for decision-making.
    • Assist in monitoring departmental spending against approved budgets.

    Taxation & Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all statutory tax requirements (VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax, etc.).
    • Assist in preparing and submitting tax returns and supporting documentation.
    • Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary schedules and explanations.

    Systems & Process Improvement:

    • Maintain and update the accounting system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
    • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
    • Contribute to the implementation of financial policies and procedures.

    Qualifications

    Head of Accounts

    Job Description

    • The Head of Accounts is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, which includes a retail mall, fashion store, and events centre.
    • The role involves providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring robust financial controls, regulatory compliance, accurate reporting, and efficient management of accounting processes across all business units.

    Responsibilities
    Financial Leadership & Strategy:

    • Lead and coordinate financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for all entities within the group.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
    • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls across the group.

    Accounting Operations:

    • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
    • Supervise general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting.
    • Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

    Compliance & Audit:

    • Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings (VAT, PAYE, WHT,), regulatory returns, and audit obligations.
    • Coordinate both internal and external audits, and implement audit recommendations.
    • Ensure compliance with all financial and accounting regulations applicable to the retail, fashion, and events industries.

    Team Management:

    • Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team across the group.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
    • Facilitate regular training and capacity development for finance staff.

    Cashflow & Treasury Management:

    • Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and oversee treasury functions.
    • Liaise with financial institutions regarding facilities, banking operations, and funding requirements.
    • Implement and monitor effective cost control and risk management strategies.

    Systems & Reporting Tools:

    • Oversee the implementation and optimal use of accounting and ERP systems across all business units.
    • Ensure data integrity and accurate financial analytics for management decision-making.
    • Generate regular financial performance reports for senior management.

    Production Manager

    Responsibilities
    Production Planning & Management:

    • Plan, organize, and oversee daily bakery and kitchen production based on demand forecasts and sales trends.
    • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of raw materials and ingredients.
    • Optimize production schedules to minimize waste and maximize output.
    • Supervise baking, cooking, and food preparation processes to maintain quality, consistency, and portion control.

    Quality Assurance & Food Safety:

    • Ensure all products meet established quality standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines.
    • Implement and monitor strict adherence to HACCP, ISO, or local food safety and hygiene regulations.
    • Conduct regular quality checks of ingredients, in-process items, and finished products.
    • Investigate and resolve quality or production issues promptly.

    Team Leadership & Training:

    • Lead, train, and motivate the bakery and kitchen teams, including chefs, bakers, and support staff.
    • Develop staff schedules and allocate tasks to meet operational requirements.
    • Foster a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and accountability.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching for skill enhancement.

    Cost Control & Efficiency:

    • Monitor and control production costs, including labor, ingredients, and energy usage.
    • Track yield and waste levels, implementing measures to reduce losses.
    • Support the Finance team in cost analysis and budgeting for production operations.
    • Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.

    Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:

    • Ensure optimal inventory levels of ingredients, packaging materials, and kitchen supplies.
    • Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery and quality assurance of raw materials.
    • Oversee storage conditions to maintain product freshness and prevent spoilage.

    Compliance & Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and labor regulations.
    • Maintain accurate production, quality, and maintenance records.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and staff training on proper equipment use and workplace safety.

    Collaboration & Reporting:

    • Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Procurement teams to align production with demand and promotions.
    • Provide daily and weekly production reports to management, highlighting key metrics and issues.
    • Contribute to new product development by testing recipes and scaling up production processes.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field.
    • 5 - 10 years of experience in food production or operations management, preferably in a bakery, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
    • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food preparation processes, and kitchen operations.
    • Familiarity with food safety standards and quality control systems.
    • Proven leadership and team management experience.
