    Head, Data Engineering

    Job Summary

    • To oversee and manage data integration, and transformation processes within the Industry Ecosystem business of Interswitch, to enable data-driven decision-making, ensure data quality and accessibility, and drive operational efficiency by managing and supporting data engineers and scientists to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions that provide timely and accurate insights to support business objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    Functional Implementation

    • Collaborate with other data teams to establish and maintain data integration processes to consolidate data from diverse sources, ensuring seamless data flow, data integrity, and a unified view of data across the organization.
    • Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of data pipelines, implement data cleansing and enrichment techniques, and establish data quality standards to ensure the availability of reliable, accurate, and usable data for decision-making.
    • Oversee the end-to-end execution of data science projects, including problem formulation, data acquisition, exploratory data analysis, model development, validation, and deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery.

    Data Governance and Compliance

    • Lead the establishment and enforcement of data governance policies, implement data security measures, promote ethical data handling and usage, ensure compliance with privacy regulations, and maintain data lineage and documentation, to protect data assets and maintain regulatory compliance.

    Collaboration and Leadership

    • Build and lead a skilled data engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their growth, ensuring the team's effectiveness and productivity in delivering data engineering projects.
    • Define and execute a data engineering strategy, including identification of key focus areas, resource allocation, and timeline, to drive the organization's data-driven initiatives and achieve desired outcomes.
    • Foster collaboration with stakeholders to understand business requirements, establish effective communication channels, and deliver data-driven insights and recommendations that inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.

    Continuous Improvement and Innovation

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement, evaluate and implement new tools and technologies, encourage innovation, and stay updated with emerging trends in data engineering, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation within the data engineering function.
    • Identify and implement a comprehensive training and development plan for direct reports, including identifying skill gaps, providing relevant training opportunities, mentoring, and coaching, resulting in the continuous improvement and growth of the data engineering team members.

    Education

    General Education

    • BSc in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.

    Evidence of strong industry/sector participation and relevant professional certifications such as:

    • Azure Data Engineer Associate
    • Azure AI Fundamentals - Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
    • Databricks Certified Machine Learning Associate
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Data Analytics Specialty

    IFRS Manager

    Job Summary

    • As the IFRS Manager within Interswitch's Finance and Supply Chain group, your primary role is to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) while also contributing to the company's financial strategy and operational efficiency.
    • You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and providing guidance on complex accounting issue

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in line with IFRS standards.
    • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure their accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Provide technical accounting guidance and support to finance teams across various business units.
    • Stay updated on changes to IFRS standards and assess their impact on the company's financial reporting.
    • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process and ensure timely completion.
    • Conduct regular reviews of financial controls and processes to mitigate risks and improve efficiency.
    • Lead or assist in special projects related to financial reporting, such as mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring activities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial systems and reporting tools.
    • Train and mentor finance staff on IFRS compliance and best practices
    • Participate in meetings with senior management to provide insights on financial performance and compliance matters.

    Functional Strategy Formation and Implementation:

    • As the IFRS Manager at Interswitch, you will spearhead the formulation and execution of strategic initiatives to optimize revenue generation and receivables management, all while ensuring alignment with the company's overarching business objectives.
    • You'll be at the forefront of anticipating and addressing complex financial challenges, particularly those pertaining to revenue recognition and receivables within the finance and supply chain domain.
    • Your responsibilities will encompass strategic planning and tactical modeling tailored to the revenue and receivables landscape, integrating risk considerations into broader business strategies.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll identify and mitigate risks associated with revenue leakage, payment delays, and bad debt, all while aligning efforts with the company's risk appetite.

    Leadership and Direction:

    • In your leadership capacity, you'll identify and communicate actions required to implement revenue and receivables management strategies, ensuring alignment with Interswitch's mission and values.
    • You'll cultivate a culture of excellence and commitment to achieving financial objectives, motivating teams to adhere to revenue and receivables management strategies while providing support and guidance as needed.
    • Driving the performance of direct reports, you'll set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development.
    • Identifying and developing talent within the team will be instrumental in promoting continuity and growth within the organization

    Educational Qualification

    • A First Degree in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Finance or other related fields.

    Evidence of strong industry/sector participation and relevant professional certifications such as:

    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
    • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
    • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
    • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)

    Experience:

    • At least 10 years experience in finance, data or business analysis, preferably in a reputable Financial Institution or FinTech company

    Managerial Experience:

    • At least 7 years' experience of planning, managing and organising resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.

    Key Accounts Reconciliation Officer

    JOB SUMMARY

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Key Accounts Reconciliation Officer to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling a pre-defined set of key accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial records. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Reconciliation involves identifying and resolving any discrepancies or differences between two or more accounts.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Account Reconciliation:

    • Perform regular reconciliation of assigned key accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions, collaborating with internal teams to obtain necessary documentation.

    Analysis and Reporting:

    • Provide detailed analysis and reports on account reconciliation, highlighting any anomalies or trends that require attention.
    • Generate periodic reconciliation reports for management review and decision-making.

    Documentation and Recordkeeping:

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of reconciliation processes and outcomes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
    • Organize and maintain records of supporting documentation for audit purposes.

    Communication and Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with internal departments, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, Operations, and the Business teams, to obtain necessary information for reconciliation.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding reconciliation status, issues, and resolutions.

    Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement in the reconciliation workflow and contribute to the implementation of enhanced procedures.
    • Recommend system or process enhancements to streamline reconciliation activities.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION(S)

    • A First degree in Finance, Accounting, or Finance-related fields

    PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION

    • Evidence of strong industry/sector participation and relevant professional certifications such as:
    •  Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
    •  Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA)

    EXPERIENCE

    • 3 - 5 years relevant experience in account reconciliation, preferably in a key accounts-focused role
