Job Description

• The Dispatch Rider would be accountable /responsible for ensuring that the assigned motorcycle is used for authorized company’s assignments, prompt delivery, a worthy ambassador of the company and good maintenance culture, should be exhibited
• Ensuring the consistent safety of documents, goods and the motorcycle
• Updating the Drivers’ Logbook on a daily basis with the required information
• Record information, such as items received and delivered
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for making deliveries
• Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE)
• 1 - 4 years of work experience.
• Proven experience as a dispatcher or relevant position
• Must enjoy motorcycling and be a skilled rider
• Ability to communicate, read and write
• Organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work under pressure
• Have good numeracy skills for delivery and expenses records
• Polite and able to get along with people
• Applicants must be familiar with routes within and around Lagos.

Requirements and Experience

• At least 2+ years relevant work experience
• Experience of working in contracted catering services, excellent understanding of high level commercial catering operations and specifically a high degree of knowledge of food hygiene, food handling, food presentation concepts and knowledge of popular catering products.

Job Description

• Define logistics strategy within the organization policies and procedures and ensure effective integration of logistics operations.
• Advice on logistics management and structures and staffing levels to ensure that they are at all times adequate to meet the requirements of the logistics strategy.
• General management of transportation matters, such as execution, direction and coordination of all activities.
• Handle T&L Budget matters, planning of routes and schedules
• To ensure safety of all vehicles on road by meeting up all legal requirement.
• Advisory functions on the status of vehicles, vehicle depreciation and disposal
• Managing the T&L team to achieve worthwhile results; harnessing the functionality of the staff (drivers and other T&L administrative staff); handling staff matters and ensuring staff improvement and training efficiency
• Manage organizations field fleet arrangements including contingency plans for logistic distributions
• Ensuring proper documentation for accounting, reporting and internal control are functioning and maintained
• Ensure continuous logistic preparedness and review for improvement or corrections
• Responsible for liaising with external or government agency on matters concerning transportation and logistics policies /tariff or rate
• Establishment of policies, roles, regulations that will enhance standard and discipline in the fleet management
• Direct reporting to the Divisional Head on matters arising, with adequate sensitization on the magnitude of the matter requiring attention
• Reporting to Top Management on the T&L unit and concerns

Requirements

• HND or B.Sc in Business Administration, Transport Management, or other related fields.
• 7 years progressive relevant experience in logistics and transport operations, with three years in managerial capacity
• Excellent technical knowledge of light and heavy duty vehicles
• Excellent knowledge of T&L documentation requirements and standards
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be a team player, with good interpersonal relationship skill.
• A professional certification in T&L or such related certification is an added advantage
• Must be computer literate.

Reporting To: HOU Audit

Job Summary

• Representative of internal auditors in recording and undersigning of products passed from back end to front end (i.e. proper accountability and documentation of products produced and transferred to the counter).

Specific Duties

• Counting and weighing of products to be passed to the counter for sales and record same on the PTN for the individual production section
• To ensure products passed are duly signed by both transferor and transferee
• To be a signatory to the PTN after ensuring that proper count has been done and all signatories have duly signed.
• To record all special orders taken
• Compilation of records of product passed for individual products at the end of the day to obtain total products passed (both soft register and hard cover register), and submit same to the internal auditor on duty, including records for special order
• To take stock of drinks at the counter after the day’s sales.
