    Base Logistics Officer

    Location: Maiduguri, Borno

    Job Summary

    • The Base Logistician will be based in Maiduguri, Borno State and report to the Logistics Manager.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Management of equipments, means of communication and the vehicle fleet.
    • Compile and consolidate records for vehicles & generators consumptions.
    • Supervise the allocation and use of equipment related to facilities; radio communication, check on regular basis the needs of products and equipment for all Action Against Hunger facilities.
    • Monitor the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment in all Action Against Hunger vehicles.
    • Track assets, update base equipment list of the facilities with new equipment on a monthly basis and conduct physical check of equipment list each month.
    • Manage the Base Logistics Team and follow HR related issues.
    • Manage all rehabilitation and maintenance for Office, Guest House, and premises.
    • Develop a monthly planning of purchase for the materials required for the facility management, Draft PRs and ensure quality control of deliveries from suppliers.
    • Oversee the preparation and execution of driver schedules, holiday plans.
    • Analyze monthly reports for inventory, running costs of vehicles and generators, the narrative report of activities, facility equipment list.
    • Undertake other related tasks as assigned.

    Requirements
    The Successful Candidate will;

    • Have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain Management and other related field with a similar experience in logistics or procurement.
    • Have strong ability to develop positive relationships with suppliers.
    • Possess excellent computer skills including all Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Have previous experience in the International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) and Humanitarian context.
    • Possess strong communication skills (verbal and written), high level of flexibility and self-motivation.

    Warehouse Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Warehouse Officer will be based in Maiduguri, Borno State and report to the Warehouse Manager.
    • He/she will be responsible for warehouse and store management including monitoring of stock utilization.

    The specific objectives to be achieved includes but are not limited to:

    • Updating the mission's stock follow up on a daily basis and submit to the Warehouse Manager,
    • Ensuring compliance with the mission's internal guidelines and storage standards,
    • Monthly review of minimum stock balance and physical inventory of all items in stock.
    • Receiving and issuing various dispatch documents as per kitlog procedures.
    • Supervising the process of loading and unloading process including casual worker request, attendance sheet and ensuring timely payment.
    • Working closely with the procurement team regarding various and anticipated deliveries.
    • Implementing Action Against Hunger warehouse management systems and procedures.
    • Ensuring the movement of inventories in the warehouse & stores are correctly documented; authorized and paper work is done as per procedures.
    • Providing assistance in training and support to other members of the team when requested.
    • Ensuring all stock items are properly stored and correctly recorded as per the guidelines and the warehouse/stores are well maintained.

    Requirements
    The successful candidate will have:

    • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Management related studies with professional experience in stock and archive management
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics, including procurement or inventory. Previous experience with an NGO in similar role will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent knowledge of general storage procedures as well as computer skills.
    • Ability to speak and communicate in both English and Hausa.
