    Junior Accountant

    Job Summary

    • Our client is seeking an experienced Junior Accountant to support core accounting and financial control functions within our oil and gas operations. The candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, cost control, reconciliations, tax compliance, and supporting audit processes in a structured and compliance-driven environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and post journal entries
    • Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
    • Perform bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
    • Monitor operational expenses and support CAPEX/OPEX tracking
    • Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis
    • Compute and process VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory remittances
    • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
    • Ensure compliance with IFRS and Nigerian financial regulations
    • Maintain proper documentation in line with internal control policies

    REQUIRMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

    • The Procurement Officer is responsible for executing the end-to-end procurement process for assigned categories of goods and services (typically indirect/MRO, Capex, or specific raw material lines). This role ensures the timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of quality materials and services required for operations, from sourcing and negotiation to purchase order placement and supplier performance monitoring.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities
