    Warehouse Worker (Truck Driver)

    Summary:

    The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Warehouse Worker (Truck Driver) position in the General Services Office.

    Duties

    This standard job description is for a Warehouse Worker (Truck Driver) who is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a U.S. Government-owned or leased trucks, large cargo vehicles or other vehicles. The incumbent is also responsible for safe handling, transporting and storage of both expendable and non-expendable items. The position is in the General Services Office and under the supervision of the Warehouse Dispatcher/Supervisory Truck Driver.

    Requirements:

    • All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust Security Clearance. 
    • All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and, may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
    • Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (6 weeks) upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

    Education Requirements:

    • Completion of secondary school/high school education is required.

     

    Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of professional truck or heavy vehicle driving experience is required.  One (1) additional year of experience in manual labor or warehouse work is required.

    Warehouse Worker

    Summary:

    The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Warehouse Worker position in the General Services Office.

    Duties

    The Warehouse Worker is responsible for safe handling, moving, storage, and inventory of both expendable and non-expendable items. The position is in the General Services Office and under the supervision of the Warehouse Foreman. The job holder performs loading and unloading of both expendable and non-expendable including but not limited to furniture appliances from trucks/vans to the warehouse(s).     Senior Program Specialist, HIV Care and Treatment

    Summary:

    The U.S. Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Senior Program Specialist, HIV Care and Treatment position in the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office.

    Duties

    The incumbent is a senior project manager and key public health advisor on treatment to the Branch Chief and Team Lead. Position is responsible for providing strategic advice and project support to the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR); contributing leadership to the planning of a national program of care and treatment for People Living with HIV (PLHIV), assisting in the development and coordination of assessment activities, and establishing the program's guidelines, procedures and strategies. 

    This position provides the CDC office with the necessary public health leadership and medical expertise to manage CDC sponsored care and treatment activities. The incumbent assures collaboration among PEPFAR Nigeria partners involved in HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs and takes the lead in promoting use of internationally recognized best practices in care and treatment among PEPFAR sponsored programs in Nigeria.  The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that CDC-Nigeria’s implementing partners achieve extremely ambitious targets for care and treatment over the next few years.

    Education Requirements:

    • MD or MBBS is required. In addition, a post-graduate degree in public health (MPH) or MSc, or post-graduate Medical Fellowship in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Pediatrics or Public Health is required.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of five (5) years public health experience in the management of HIV treatment programs at local, state or international levels that entails responsibility for evaluation of program activities is required. Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs that involve coordination with an international agency or implementing partner are required. Additional one (1) year experience at the managerial level is required.

    Visa Assistant (Non-Immigrant)

    Summary:

    The U.S. Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Visa Assistant (Non-Immigrant) position in the Consular section.

    Duties

    The Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) Assistant performs a wide range of consular duties associated with delivering nonimmigrant visa (NIV) services, in accordance with the NIV unit’s standard operating procedures and established visa processing guidelines. Incumbent performs data-entry, document review, correspondence, passport manifesting, visa printing, and other general office work.  Customer service focus is essential in a visa unit that addresses applicants in person daily.  The position requires a high-level of attention to detail to spot trends or potential issues and escalate those as necessary.  The job holder is fully cross trained to function in any role as required by visa demand and scheduling.

    Summary:

    Duties

    This is a position that oversees the varied portfolios of Customer Service and Travel.     Administrative Clerk

    Summary:

    The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for a Motor Pool Administrative Clerk position in the General Services Office.

    Duties

    Incumbent serves as the principal administrative support person for the Motor Pool and reports directly to the Motor Pool Supervisor, operating independently to ensure that administrative functions are performed effectively, efficiently, and in a manner that promotes harmony and problem-solving, ensuring other staff members may be more effective. The Motor Pool provides vehicular and boating support for the International Cooperative Administrative Support Services (ICASS) to over 85 USDH, 350 Locally Employed (LE) staff representing five US Federal Agencies. The incumbent also is the primary record keeper for reporting Motor Pool statistics to ICASS. The Motor Pool consists of a supervisor, deputy supervisor, four dispatchers, and more than 60 employees - all of whom depend on the administrative assistant.

    Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of office administration and/or office management work experience is required.
